   it’s possible to connect a wifi router and have the PCs / Laptops connect to the Internet via the router.

   Connection should be straight forward with the router. Specific steps depend on your router. If you have done it before, it shouldn’t be a problem.

   Once the router is connected, the first time you surf to an Internet site, you will be redirected to the smart bro portal. Just have your friend login. The process will register the new setup and will ask you to reboot your router/PCs.

   That should do it.

   Ung connection at the top, power.
   Ung connection at the left: cable from the Antenna (RJ45/CAT5)
   Ung connection at the right: colored blue e connection to the PC/Router RJ45/CAT5 rin yan. As long as me NIC ung PC mo tsaka router mo, walang problema.

   No USB connection of any kind.

   Also, just connect the blue ethernet cable from the PoE device to the router and then to the PC. launch firefox and mapupunta ka sa https://portal.smartbro.net/ login ka lang, then ma-re-redirect ka sa authentication page (type mo ung numbers & letters sa image…. WHICH I FIND VERY INCONVENIENT).

   Tapos ask ka ng pwede ka ng mag-surf. hindi mo na kelangang mag-reboot ng pc and powercycle ng router.

   Kung gusto mo naman, kunin mo ung MAC address ng PC ng kaibigan mo (ung connected na ha!) and then i-hard-code mo ito sa router mo para wala ka ng problema sa authentications.

   The cable going to the antenna is an 8-wire utp cable, not a USB cable. It connects to his PC via the Ethernet port at the back. The box is a lightning arrester.

   It seems no router is installed so you can install one.

   kung yung connection nya is from USB it is impossible to connect a router.. yun lang po bye…

   i need help, sa office namin at may router with wi-fi capability. it’s an open connection actually. pag laptop na wi-fi ready na agad agad nakaka-connect, ang problema lang yung computer na gamit ko ay di wi-fi ready, ang tanong ko ay kung may nabibili bang wi-fi receiver via usb? similar to smartbro and sun’s prepaid na built-in na yung modem on their usb prepaid kit. sa wi-fi ba ay mayroon ding usb based wi-fi receiver at san makabibili nun? salamat.

    May wifi ako, and 2 laptops. yung nagiging problem ko lang is pag nakakonect yung isang laptop, pag ikokonect ko na ung isa pupunta ulit siya sa redirection page yng protal.smartbro.net and pag naka connect yung isa ung isa is mawawalan ng pagkakonect. Help naman po.

    meron ako pinatesting na wireless wifi router sa isang tauhan ng smartbro from SM Lucena, nung tinest sya sa amin(I’m from sariaya, mejo malayo ang smart tower from my shop, i think almost 2 Km) gumana sya kaso ung pinangtesting nya ung wifi router na may sim card na niloloadan. ung unit daw na plan 999 nila eh mas maganda kesa don. pero ung ginamit namin sya for almost 1 and 1/2 hrs Ok naman, i’m browsing Youtube for 3 computers at wala maxado buffer, ngdownload din ako from torrent and may naglalaro ng online games walang problema, kahit mejo mataas ang ping. PINAKA problema lang sa kanila, ang tagal ng release ng unit eversince nagapply ako. nung una kase sabi nung tauhan ng smart, 1yr lock in period at may bayad na 2500 for the unit – wifi plan 999, pero 1 week after nagbago kase wala na dw bayad ung unit at 2yrs na lock in ung contract..napakaSMART talaga nila. sana lang walang problema ung unit nila kase balita ko nasusunog daw ung sim card na ginagamit don kapag sobrang init or sobrang gamit.kelangan ata magprovide sila ng Fan for their unit, since alam na nila ung nagiging problema nun
