   di ba kuya pag iba’t-ibang speedtester ginamit mo, pedeng ib’t-ibang rin yung servers? so hindi magiging consistent yung results kung sa tatlong magkakaibang servers yung test dahil iba’t-iba yung traffic condition (pedeng may congested yung isa sa iba)…

   kung tama ang aking obserbasyon, mas maganda po na magtest sa isang tester lang, then test it multiple times with constant time intervals… ex, every five minutes, three times or more…. tapos kunin yung average…

   la lang, suggest lang, correct me if i’m wrong

   Tama yung sinabi mo at tama rin naman yung sinabi ni @jun pero ang mas maganda talagang gawin para malaman mo kung ilan ang speed mo ay thru analog x netstat live software bandwidth tester na madalas sinasabi ng mga agents ng smartwifi na gawin.kung ito kasi ang gagamitin mo,ang lalabas na bandwidth ay yung actual na upload/download mo.subukan mo magconduct ng downloading at uploading while gumagana yung netstat live,makikita mo na nagvavary yung speed mo.kung web speed meter kasi gagamitin mo maraming factors ang dapat mo tingnan eh isa na nga yung congestion sa isang server kung saan ka nagsspeed test.kung busy yung sites at marami ang nagrrequest ng bandwidth results,maliit lang maibibigay sayo.ikumpara mo yung test results ng international at local na speed testers,makikita mo na malaki madalas ibinibigay ng local like globequest vs.2wire.ang bandwidth natin hindi madalas consistent kasi nagvavary nga yan.minsan mababa at minsan napakataas.ang mahalaga eh nagagamit mo ng maayos at kung hindi mo na magamit ng maayos,look for possible cause.either sa side mo o sa smart/pldt.huwag natin ituro agad ang lahat ng blame sa smart/pldt kapag nakaranas tayo ng problema.payo lang,kung sakali magkaproblema tayo,try to isolate muna before calling out yung call center ng smart.thanks..

   don’t simply rely on one speed test. i’ve tried globequest many times and i’ve gotten super high speeds. i’m not saying that it’s wrong but i believe it’s better to test your speeds using different speed tests and then get the average. a pattern will always emerge. it’s like getting a diagnosis from a doctor. it’s always better to get a second and third opinion. tulits’ suggestion sounds good too, you could try that.

   guys… ever experienced this?

   pag nag da-download sa download accelerator, di ba may graph yung ng speed ng download? bali ang nagyayari… pag nagstart na yung download… ang speed eh something like 113 kiloBYTES per second (that right hindi BITS, but BYTES) tas unti-unting bumabagal hanggang maging +20Kilobytes per sec na lang?

   galing nu?? anu kea to?

    correction, di 256kbps ang smart wifi kundi amazing 384kbps. I’m even using AnalogX Netstats Live to monitor my bandwidth which is not influenced by any traffic since it measures the bandwidth I get directly from my NIC and my average connection is 60kbps. The least they could do is meet half their promised speed which is 192kbps. All I can say is that Smart Wifi/Bro is an always-on dial up internet connection in disguise. The only way you could get a fast connection is if you’re the only subscriber in your area. Its ok for surfing purposes but for downloads/torrents you’re in for a ride. It was successful in doing one thing, getting internet connection to remote areas where wired broadband DSL is not available. In short, think of smart wifi as a no need for a phoneline 56kbps unlimited internet connection and you won’t be disappointed. If you expect more, then get it from somewhere else.

    Mga pre… For those who are saying that their transfer rate is 3kbps something, you may have a problem with your computer, corrupted winsock for example. I had the same problem. I tried everything, reseting my winsock, eliminating all possible spywares and viruses, installing network boosters.
    But the funny thing here is that I did not expect any hardware problems. But the problem really was just there. Loose network card. It must have loosened when the computer was transfered. And without further adieu, I was back online.

    But still, the speed still sucks. And what’s more I have to unplug and replug the network adapter whenever my connection timed out or whatever you call it.
