   tol tanung ko lng. ng download n kc ako ng new version ng canopy kso h d ko alm kung pnu ito iinstall. kc iba ung file extension nya. (.pkg2 ung file extension nya)

   ako din nagemail….ei BTW..alterpunk_08 …me nakuha k b n email nung nagregister k? ako ala…try ko maglogin kaso ang nakalagay “You need to have/enable cookies to use Canopy Pass”…. D ko lam kung bat nalabas un….todo min n nga security ko e1 ko kung bakit ganun p din….Pa-upload naman sa bittorrent or whatever…..

   does upgrading to the new version really help with intermittent and slow connection?
   i tried to dload the upgrade but it asks for username and password, means you still have to be registered in the site. and i think CNUT v.2 is also needed to upgrade.

   comments?

   hey guys is there any detailed way on how I can get to the canopy settings? I mean starting from NIC then to the browser. just subscribed last jan 17 and having terrible download/upload stream. 117/178kbps respectively. i would’ve had accepted it if its the other way around but having your upload speed higher than download is not a very good thing. btw, i did tried going to http://motorola.com/canopy and i don’t really see where to do an upgrade for the current canopy. those smartbro tech support can’t really do much since the way they solve problems is by having a technician check the lines and explain unnecessary things which makes people like us become frustrated even more.

   you need to install CNUT for you to upgrade your canopy firmware…

   @hurricane24 have you tride changing your ip add to 169.254.1.2 sub 255.255.0.0 then using your browser enter 169.254.1.1 kung makapasok ba sa canopy config?

   else matrabaho yan bro, you need to take down your canopy and look for the ESD take note of the last 6chars/digits convert mo to decimal naka hex pa kasi yun gamitin mo lang calculator ng windows pag convert. then pagnaconvert mo na add 10.xxx.xxx.xxx sa converted numbers, ang gulo ng explanation ko noh? hehehe then set your ip add to 10.0.0.2 sub 255.0.0.0
   then try to enter 10.xxx.xxx.xxx gamitin mo yung converted hex to dec numbers na.

   You can telnet the canopy instead of web interface. There are more settings here not available in the GUI. Just type help. I was able to increase my receiver sensitivity by adjusting calpower. More on this later.

   Question to “Tonyt” – please elaborate on your telnet experience.
   Anyway, how do I access canopy using telnet ? I don’t know what to enter for login and password.. it does not take any credencials that I used thru web interface.

    mga bro…
    wag nyo na kasi galawin yung mga canopy sm nyo kc wla nmn kayo pwede palitan jan na pwede makapagpabilis ng connection nyo. wag no na rin try na mag sw upgrade kc kung hindi yan mag match…mas malaking problem lng talaga…slow connection problem is mostly because of poor signal quality (obstructed). dapat kc yung canopy sm nyo is facing the Smart BTS…only Smart personnel can help you in solving your problem kya konti tyaga na lng sa pag tawag sa hotline

    wala na pag asa ang hotline….actually “scripted” na nga mga cnasabi nla eh…araw araw cra ang base station. smartbro is really crap, so khit ano upgrade o khit ano pa gawin natin ay slow parin dahil sira ang base station araw-araw/….amf

    Hey bro I got a pretty tricky problem here. I tried almost all IP address just to connect to Canopy (Like 10.20.30.40, 169.254.1.1, 169.254.3.3 and etc) and I end up with failure. How can I connect to Canopy ? If I could connect I know how to do it.

    I need your reply ASAP.

    me too.. lahat ng ip and subnet nag try nako.. but I always had undentified network.. kaya hindi ako maka punta sa canopy,.. im using a notebook and walang router. direct toh. pls help./ thanls!!

    meron pa bang paraan kung paano ma access yun canopy settings kasi sinubukan ko na yun ibang comments, pero hndi talaga ma access yun configuration settings, may iba pa bang paraan???

    hi

    i am wondering how to access the settings on my canopy on my roof and use the same log on settings as the one that was at my office we have taken down the canopy from our office as its not needed at that location anymore but the account is still active but the canopy at home wont log us on with the account number we have.

    so i am looking to access the one at home so i can imput the data so i can use the one already fixed to our home i atempted to get up on the roof but its too high to get up.

    lastly do the canopys need a line of site to the mobile phone mast or do they work in the same way as a mobile phone
