Smart is TIED up with Marlboro, and from what I’ve gathered,
Almost ALL their networking equipment is provided by Marlboro.
Someone told me that each Pack is worth around P25, but Smart got a deal with Marlboro to lower the price to 12.50 cent per half pack.
Very SMART indeed.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Smart is using aluminum foils from cigarette packs in your antennas. So dont ever ask “why is my connection choking?”
With SmartBro Wifi Fliptops Internet Experience is like a lung cancer, you’ll be gasping for air 3x faster than a Second Hand Connection. Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.

I’m using the rectangular one the one with mirror or something in the front. what does the Motorola canopy looks like??? and whats the difference beetween sendfar and motorola??? and if Motorola is better how can I upgrade to Motorola???
thanks for the info, and by the way after I reply to your post the Smart BRO called me and ask me about my connection and I grabbed the chance to ask them which is better SendFar of Motorola, and they told me that motorola canopy are for the subscribers who are near to the base station and SendFar are for the remote areas.
thanks for the info,
may I ask if you get disconnected using the Motorola Canopy???
Im using a Motorola canpoy and yes, I do get disconnected.
But based on experience, the disconnection occurs at the base station to the DNS server so it’s their side.
Using Sendfar of Motorola will not affect whether yuo get disconneced or not.
im using canopy for our connection, so far it has been fine except for when it rains it really disconnects, like what happened last night (just when you needed the internet most) when the rain stopped still there was no connection, i just resorted to sleep my frustration away.
try asking the people commisioned by smart who connects your wifi to change your antenna. the technical people in our city informed me that they are in the process of changing all the sendfar to canopy. when i applied fo wifi i was issued out with a canopy antenna.
for more than 1 year i still encountering intermittent connection and also a very slow connection. this past few months my connection speed is only 60-80 kpbs damn. 2 field visits but still my connection sucks
bro ask ko lang un bang antenna ng smart bro eh parang router din?? kasi kanpag non router ka you only have 1 ip right?? pero ako wala akong router pero I have 2 ip’s so ano to ung wan ip ko is galing sa smart bro???

Motorola Canopy but the older subscribers who haven’t upgraded to canopy used Sendfar

I can’t really say if upgrading to the motorola canopy can help speed up or stabilize your connection. Heto ang itsura ng motorola canopy:

or you can try google images.
Yung iba nagrereklamo na bumagal daw connection nila afterwards. Ako canopy na kasi by default yung akin so I can’t say much.

Yup, the problem is on their end not ours. Their so called “broadband” service just plainly sucks.
