Currently, I am using PLDT NxGN phone + mydsl line. I would say that as of now I am not experiencing any downtime or lost connection to that matter. I have an existing telephone line which was migrated to their new lines so as I could get the 888 plan they are offering. They also post to their ads that speed is twice as dial up but when you are using it, speed varies from 250++ kbps. Better compare to the ad and somewhat comparable to the current speed by other players with internet service. You just need to contact PLDT’s customer service and request for the NxGN line. You can also visit their site http://www.mypad.net for other details.
What’s the NxGN’s coverage now? Are they still limited to Luzon and Visayas areas only? or have they reach Mindanao by now?
Smart Bro Alternative?
All of us have alternatives… if our Government will truly govern telecommunications business here in our country.
Here in Laguna, there are franchise areas. Some to PLDT, some to PT&T.. then to DIGITEL…(pretty much the same in Metro Manila)
But what about GLOBE? or GLOBELINES…???
I guess franchising must be trashed….
That way… the customers will be empowered…
… to choose the best there is….
as of now… am using smartbro, because i have no other alternative due to that fucking franchise
Let’s all trash franchising schemes….
instead…. regulate the right of ways for each competitors…
of course, we cannot keep all cables hanging around our roof tops…
Use wireless then…. (or underground…might be too expensive)
Count the years without Globelines here in Laguna….
