netstat is crap, use your Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+alt+del)instead

press Ctrl+alt+del > go to networking > go to menu > view > select columns... > uncheck all except BYTES SENT INTERVAL and BYTES RECEIVED INTERVAL.

or use other reliable programs outhere like bandwidth monitor...

Yan kasi yung bulok at lumang antenna nila.

@mackoy
tao lng...

Rain causes obstruction. The frequency of the sendfar antenna is around 2.4 GHz while the canopy antenna is around 5GHz. The higher the frequency, the smaller the wavelength.

LOGIC:

Let's say the sendfar freq is a large rock while the canopy freq is the small pebble, and a glass window representing rain. Try to throw both rocks to the glass window. It's easy to say that the large rock will break the window while the pebble won't.

Also, the lower the frequency, the longer the range but more power is required (diba mas madaling magbato ng pebble kesa sa malaking bato?).

1. Paano ito e-coconfigure?
* open netstat live and right click on it. choose CONFIGURE. Under the DISPLAY VALUES IN, choose BITS (modems, NIC's, etc). Why? Because that's how bandwidth is measured. Pwede rin naman BYTES kaso i-cocompute mo pa to get BITS. 1BYTE=8BITS.

Focus your attention on INCOMING. If you'll notice, the value for CURRENT is varying and quite low. THIS IS NOT YOUR INTERNET SPEED. NetStat Live measures the actual throughput that comes in and out of your system. Thus, if you want to measure your throughput, download a file (at least 5MB) while NetStat Live is open. You'll notice (supposedly) that the CURRENT INCOMING would rise. Also, the graph will rise.

For more info, read the readme.

2. Paano e access and SendFar antenna???
* subscribers are not allowed to access the antenna

* ano ba ginagamit mo pang measure? I suggest you use NetStat Live since it is not web-based.

Question: do you feel any difference? Almost none. Ganun din sa mga base station. May generator sila para kapag nag-brownout ndi mapuputol yung service.

It's LINE OF SIGHT.

- light of sight connection are affected by changing of atmospheric conditions, pag mainit mas maganda ang connection kaysa sa maulan na panahon.

- there are 2 types of generator ac and dc. pero karamihan ginagamit as standby power supply is an ac generator. wlang pagkaka-iba ng ac gen sa napocor kasi lahat ng ac gen has the capacity to output the same supply as the napocor.
