   Hi there, you can access your antenna by changing the ip address of your pc to 169.254.1.2 so it would be on the same network as your antenna which is 16.254.1.1. You then check what you need to check on the Canopy config. (Go to LAN connection, Properties, Internet Protocop (TCP/IP) connection, Properties, Use the following IP address 169.254.1.2 , use the default subnet)

   My suggestion to you is not to change anything on your antenna config unless you are absolutely sure what you are doing is correct. You may mess up your connection further if you change something which is not the standard configuration of Smart.

   After checking, you then return your PC to obtain ip address automatically.

   2 reasons why you can’t access your canopy

   1. your Smart connection is connected to your router if you have one, connect it directly to your PC and change your PC ip address to 169.254.1.2 with default subnet .
   2. your antenna is on another network like 10.0.0.1 , so change your PC to 10.0.0.2

   cradze, sorry I don’t have any idea about sendfar, I was using canopy all along…but if the smartbro helpdesk is asking you to ping 10.0.0.1 then that would be the antenna ip address…try mo rin.

   baka siguro di mo ma access yung 169.254.1.1 o yung configuration interface ng canopy atena mo, dahil banned ka, kasi ako parang na banned ako para ma-access ko yung 169.254.1.1. dahil sinubukan kong baguhin yung NAT configuration, sinubukan kong mag public ip, tapos nang maibalik ko sa dating settings di ko na ma-access ung ip ng canopy atena/router.. kahit yung 10.0.0.1 di ko rin ma-access.. pina-iisipan ko ngang i-set sa factory setting yung antena pero parang wag na lang baka kasi di ko maibalik sa dati, ang hirap pa naman tumawag sa hotline ng smartbro lalo na sa technical support pero sa application mabilis pa sa segundo hehehe..

    guys im from smartbro try this command netsh winsock reset /at command prompt they say if it had an error format your computer. reasons you are using a pirated OS… guys pirated OS can make your connection worst… so dont complain with invalid ip if your operating system is PIRATED! use genuine copy so if you had problem with ip we can check it properly thanks

    here’s how to access canopy na naka-10 series: (10.x.x.x)

    1. go to ur antenna and copy the last 6 characters of the ESN. (for example: 0A003EF286B7)

    2. convert the last 6 characters into decimal. (going back to the example at step 1, the last 6 char are: F2-86-B7) naka hexadecimal kase yan and u need to convert them in pairs.

    so if u have F2-86-B7 as the last 6 char:

    F2(hex) to decimal is = 242
    86(hex) to decimal is = 134
    B7(hex) to decimal is = 183

    check this site on how to convert hex to decimal … http://www.statman.info/conversions/hexadecimal.html

    so … ang canopy ip mo ay = 10.242.134.183
    ung ip address ng canopy should always start with 10.x.x.x (obviously)

    then manually encode the ip address of ur lan.

    ip address = 10.10.10.10 or 10.0.0.1
    subnet mask = 255.0.0.0

    open ur browser and type the canopy’s ip. that should work.

    three ways to access your canopy ui(on winxp):
    note 1: i made it this way assuming that u at least know ur way around ur pc…

    note 2: “>” = “go to” or double click

    1. the common way(169.254.1.1)
    a. start>control panel>switch to classic view>network connections
    b. local area connection>properties>general>internet protocol(tcp/ip)
    c. properties>general>use the following ip address
    d. ip address = 169.254.1.1, subnet mask = 255.255.0.0>ok>close
    e. on ur browser, type in the address 169.254.1.1 then go.

    2.if that doesn’t work, this might(may require climbing skills)
    a. obtain ur ESN
    two ways to obtain ur ESN:
    aa. look at the back part of ur canopy antenna and take note of the
    alphanumeric code written after the “ESN”
    ab. call smart and do something to make them send the
    techs/repairmen. ask them for your ESN then.most are nice
    enough and wouldn’t mind giving it to you.
    b. get the last six figures, pair them
    example: ESN : 1a2b3c4d > 2b,3c,4d
    c. convert each pair from hex to decimal
    how?
    ca. start>run>type in calc>enter>a calculator will appear
    cb. click on the hex radio button(the circle thingy beside “hex)
    then type the first pair
    cc. then, click on the decimal radio button and the value u typed
    will change into something else.
    cd. take note and do the same with the next two pairs
    ce. remember to take note of the values IN ORDER
    d. follow steps 1a-1c. use the ip adress 10.0.0.1, subnet mask
    255.0.0.0
    e. type in ur adress bar:10.thefirstdecimalvalueugot.thenext.thelast>go

    3. if this wouldn’t work, i don’t know what else will…
    a. start>run> type cmd>enter
    b. at the command prompt, type arp -a>enter
    c. a bunch of ip adresses will appear along with corresponding
    physical addresses.
    d. type in one of the listed internet addresses in your browser then go
    e. one of those addresses should work and let you access your canopy

    *sorry i can’t make a better guide….
    *if i find another way, i’ll post it as soon as i can…

    SMART BRO HACK

    first: click properties.

    second: under the general tab choose USE THE FOLLOWING CONNECTION and enter the ff:

    (*IP Address depends on your Location, i think this two belongs somewhere in manila)
    IP address: 169.254.3.3
    169.254.1.2 (this is just an alternate)

    Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

    then you click OK

    third: Open any internet browser and type in the address bar: 169.254.1.1

    fourth: When you’ve access the Canopy page, go to the configuration page and enter the following attributes:

    (*both can be seen on top part)
    click configuration then quality of service

    Uplink burst allocation change to 1500
    Download burst allocation change to 1500

    then save and reboot

    after tweaking your connection
    repeat step 1, and instead of choosing “use the following connection” choose OBTAIN AN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY then click OK

    notes: it will take some time before your connection absorbs the new configuration

    this will boost your connection speed…

    guys, marami kayong nasuggest pero kung babalikan nyo yung unang unang post, the person is asking for help how to access the canopy again because na-enable yung DHCP. so yung mga 169-254-1-1 or 10-0-0-1 thingy ay hindi nagwo-work kasi nga, naka DHCP mismo yung canopy.

    GUYZ! if you want to open your canopy without husle, im 100% sure of this( just wat huricanne24 said) :

    Nangyari na sa akin ung yung naset ko sa dhcp at di ko maaccess ang canopy. Ang ginawa ko connect ko sa isa sa mga LAN port ng router instead of the WAN port para yung router ang mag-assign ng ip sa canopy. Tapos tiningnan ko na lang sa router configuration page yung naassign na ip sa canopy. Tapos yun, naaccess ko na sya at ibinalik ko na rin sa manual yung ip address ng canopy. Bago ko nga naisip yon, nataranta din ako. Mahirap kasi support ng smart. Parang jebs.. hehe..

    Peepz, 1 month kami nawalan ng connection. Dami sinabi ng tech support:
    1. Kasi daw may problem sa base station
    2. ‘di kasi na-meet ng pc yung min req nila (eh 2 yrs ko na ginagamit yun)
    3. Mejo mahangin po kasi.
    4. Umuulan po kaya ganun.
    5. Base station ulit.
    6. Papupuntahin na lang po namin yung engrs para i-check

    This is what I’ve learned from being a long time SBRO subscriber: When you call the hotline, the usual answer would be “Obserbahan po muna natin, call kayo after 24 hours”. The reason for this is that when they found out that your Canopy antenna is working or is not IDLE, they will secretly assume that the problem is with your PC. OK if it is, but what if it’s not and you already wasted another 24 hours of waiting?

    This is what I did: Removed the Canopy power supply from the outlet and called the Hotline. When they asked me if I plugged the power supply, I answered YES. When they asked if the power supply’s LED is on, I answered again YES. On their side, the Canopy antenna status is now IDLE.

    Supporting your complaint with “I have a scheduled chat with my relative tonight, please have my connection restored ASAP!!!” plus an IRATE voice, surely you will have your connection fixed probably not immediately but in a shorter time.

    This technique is also applicable for those who enabled the DHCP.

    You can reset the antenna by creating an RJ11 device with #2 & #6 pins shorted. Turn off your Canopy before inserting the RJ11. Turn on the Canopy and access the control panel using the IP 169.254.1.1. Modify what you want if you know what your doing, save settings and then turn-off the Canopy. Remove the RJ11 and resume your normal operation assuming that the Canopy is properly configured. But why worry resetting your antenna when you can have it replaced? Use the “Power supply technique”.

    You can view the 10 series IP without actually climbing the roof and knocking down the mast but the technique is more of like a PANDORA’s BOX if you know what I mean. So it’s up to you guys how to look for the solution.

They will be always happy talking to you for 30 minutes to 1 hour or more. Why? Their company is being paid 82 pesos per minute just to hear your complaint.

    waaaaaaaa..ginawa ko na lahat ng way para ma open ang canopy…ayaw talaga ( yun isang nabasa ko na naka hex ang canopy address and need to to convert into decimal…yun ba yung physical address na nakita when i opened my MS and typed arp -a……ang nakita ko lang kc is Interface address…internet address…and physical address…then when i convert that physical address into decimal…hindi namn cia nagsstart sa 10.

    pink_sneakers: tama yung ginawa mo. kinonvert mo yung physical address sa decimal. hindi talaga lalabas yung number 10 dahil ikaw ang maglalagay ng number na iyon sa unahan ng na-convert mo na physical address. so ang IP address ng canopy mo ay magiging 10.xx.xx.xx (where xx is your converted hexadecimal). ngayon, subukan mo i-access canopy mo. kung hindi ka pa rin successful, bigay mo sakin address ng bahay mo at puntahan kita para masolve problem mo sa smartbro. libre consultation at labor ko – basta pag naayos ko problema mo sleep with me one night lang. okey ba?

    hi! ang problem ko naman, dati nakakaconnect din ako using my laptop.. desktop kasi talaga nakakabit yung cable.. pero nung mga nakaraang araw hanggang ngayon di na ko makaconnect sa laptop. dati kasi pag nililipat ko yung cable, lagi ako nareredirect sa login page. pero ngayon di na ko nareredirect dun. pagkabit ko sa laptop, lumalabas lang yung portal tapos pag hinintay ko or kahit iclick ko yung” if you’re not automatically redirected, click here”.. nag pe page cannot be displayed na.. lagi na lang ganun ang nangyayari. tapos pag sa desktop, ibinalik ko yung cable di na ko hinihingan ng info or di na ko nirerequire mag login tulad dati. automatic na agad nagcoconnect.. by the way, sa laptop ko nga pala nakalagay sa tray, or dun sa taskbar sa may dalawang monitors na maliit: connection: Local only.. pero dati local and internet yun e./. tulong naman po.. thanks in advance!

    Nangyari na sa akin ung yung naset ko sa dhcp at di ko maaccess ang canopy. Ang ginawa ko connect ko sa isa sa mga LAN port ng router instead of the WAN port para yung router ang mag-assign ng ip sa canopy. Tapos tiningnan ko na lang sa router configuration page yung naassign na ip sa canopy. Tapos yun, naaccess ko na sya at ibinalik ko na rin sa manual yung ip address ng canopy. Bago ko nga naisip yon, nataranta din ako. Mahirap kasi support ng smart. Parang jebs.. hehe..

    antenna ilagay sa LAN slot..

    tapos NETSCAN…

    makikita nyo ung IP ng CANOPY mo…

    then type mo sa browser ung IP ng CANOPY…

    then ibalik mo na sa WAN slot ung antenna..

    Ako rin na set ko sa dhcp state yung canopy ko kaya d ko maaccess nagpalit kc ako ng base station kaso d ako makapasok sa portal nila i tried calling the CS but 3 days na d parin ako makalog-in sa buwisit na portal nila… grabe maganda sana yung nakita ko na base station rssi 700+ compare dun sa dati na putolputol pa at 400+ lang na try ko dl lampas 50kbs so medyo ok sana kaso di ako makapasok wala bang way para makapasok sa portal nila laging error code 40100 ako… tsaka yung sa canopy ko d ko rin ma access na dati naacess ko yun sa 10.20.30.40 ngayon ayaw na kasi nga na dhcp state enabled ko.. wow… paano ba toh pa help naman… try ko yung sa router thing kc may router naman ako… merong kayong guide…?

    not that so fast.. ung fast enough para d kayu mabanas..hehe

    first.. if naoopen nyu ung cannopy configurations nyu.. eto lang ang dapat nyung baguhin..

    click nyu ung 100mbps Full duplex mode..
    2x rate..
    activate priority line….

    if mag AP Scan kau.. makikita nyu ung mga sections na may magkikaibang data.. each section represents a cannopy na nasa tower mismo.. if you want to have faster connection, dpat select nyu ung best cannopy na nakaharap sa inyo..
    panu? eto…

    makikita nyu na may RSSI, Jitter, and power level..
    RSSI = 900+ dapat.. higher is better
    Jitter = maximum of 5, lower is better
    Power level maximum of 60db lower is better
    and mapapansin nyu ung color code..
    kunin nyu ung color code ng section na may pinkamagandang status.
    look for ung space kung san nafifil up ng color code..
    type nyu dun ung color code na napili nyu na may pinakamagandang status..
    tapos reboot.,.

    eto pa.. mas mapapabilis ung connection nyu pag tatanggalin nyu ung Ground wire na nasa lightning suppresor nyu.. ung puting box mula antenna..

    thats it..

    i have a problem accessing my canopy, i know how to get my canopy IP but still cant access it i already tried changing the IP in ln setting but still cant access seems like my canopy is in locked mode. regarding the RJ11 thing to reset the canopy i like to ask how to do it and where should i connect the RJ11, do i need to remove the connection from the canopy first or there is another port from the canopy to plug in the RJ11. please if anyone can help me with the guidelines regarding this matter i will very thankful please just e-mail me the guidelines e-mail add cna_recordbar@rocketmail.com hope any one here can help. thank you…….
