   Kahit simpleng router lang ok na. I’m using a Linkysys Wireless router and share ang internet connection ko with my 2 desktop and laptops and some laptops ng kapitbahay nami. Im not sure kung paano mag setup sa swith hub but yung router na gamit ko setup nya as a gateway. Baka meron manual yan hub mo basahin mo nalang kung paano iconfigure

   Sa pagkakaalam ko, kailangan talaga router gamitin.. Set mo sa DHCP then log in ka once sa portal then ok na.. Di pwede hubs and switches….

   Kailangan mo ng Router because ito ay meron capability na mag route ng Internet Connection kaya nga sya router. Don’t worry about your switch or hub kasi magagamit mo parin yan pag dumami na ang PCs mo.

   Oo nga pala wag kang bumili ng D-Link DI524 na router pangit yun! Yung clients ko lagi nagrereklamo about sa router nya…

   Hello ebribadi

   Question lang po regarding sharing my Smart Bro connection.

   I have 2 PCs at home kasi. Pano yung pag log in sa Smart Bro portal pag gumamit ako ng router to share the connection? Diba kasi pag nilipat mo sa ibang PC yung cable tapos nag access ka ng internet, madidirect ka muna sa Smart Bro portal para mag log in once ng username and password.

   I’ll look over the manual of WRT54GL in a while beofre i buy one pero basically ba ganito ang gagawin:

   1. Connect sa router yung Smart Bro cable:
   2. Connect the PCs to the router:
   3. Access internet from one PC
   4. Enter username and password on Smart Bro portal
   5. happy surfing

   ganun po ba? I mean once lang log in from one PC tapos ok na?

   Another question po, tsaka do you still need to have the canopy power supply o pwede direct na yung canopy sa router and yung router na magpoprovide ng power sa canopy?

   there are two ways of connecting ur two pc using SmartBro:
   1) is using router
   2) sharing connection using Lan to Lan – in this kaylangan mo dalawang LanCard sa main Pc nyo. first LanCard is to connected to the Antenna and the other one is connected to the Lancard of your PC#2….

   Note: switch or Hub are not advisable to use sa smartBro coz it doesn’t have MAC…

   i just started using smartbro here in albay. after typhoon reming everyone seems to be transfering to smartbro since it takes ages to erect those telephone lines. it seems that smartbro is better than my bayantel dsl.

   i want to use multiple for my smart bro. unfortunately i plugged my 110 router to 220. did that damage the adaptor or the whole thing? Can this be repaired? please help

   once mo lan open un portal then ok na un…

   kung la router…
   nid mo 2 lan card za izan pz…
   un iza para za connection ng wifi un iza za hub…
   then configure lan un internet sharing za pz na may 2 lan cardz…
   ang problema lan weh…
   pag nagloko o nagrestart un iza pz na nag share ng internet…
   lahat ng connected na pz weh mawawalan ng…
   internet connection…
   kea maganda na un za router…

   automatic un setting ng ip address…
   avoid nia un conflicts zaka…
   pag manually configuration…
   kalimitan nagkakaproblema nga za internet…
   lalo na kung ndi ka sure za mga ilalagay o configuration…
   wak ka maxado manual…
   pede u gamitin un mga automatic configuration provided na…
   lalo na me tamad za troubleshooting… :p

   pag hub ang ginamit un…
   kung zan u nilagay un username at pazz ng portaL…
   magkakaron ng internet connection…
   peo…
   pag may gumamit ng iza pa unit na kazama za hub…
   pupunta muna zia za portal…
   pag na access nia un portal magkaka internet connection zia…
   peo un iza unit naman mawawalan…

    ayaw mabigay ng internet connection… i follow all the guide edimax provide pro wla effect eh….

    Hi there!! I got this smartbro connection and router problem is… I got this message on internet explorer “The page cannot be displayed”. But before it was ok I wer using it without a hub and I connect the smartbro in my Edimax Router BR6104K on its WAN port and the 4PCs on its 4 port respectively. And always got disconnected for everytime. And recently I don’t get internet connection at all. But the network seems fine. But the internet wasnt’ working at all. I did brought my router to the vendor. Said “Router’s fine and working. No further questions asked. Whats should I do to fix it. I was looking on and on around net looking for answers… PLEASE Help!God Bless You!!!

    gani2 ang gawin u..dapat 3 ang lancard mo..dalawang nakakabit sa isang pc at ang isa dun sa gusto mong lagyan ng connection…

    set-up:
    window xp version
    1. click my networkplace. dun sa pc kung saan nakaconnect ang smart bro
    2.click view network connection… right click mo yung lan card yung nkaconnect sa kabilang pc. click properties
    3. double click internet protocol..
    4.click use the following ip address..
    5. lagay mo.. sa IP 192.168.0.1 then clicksubnet mask..automatic na lalabas na digit..
    6. sa default gateway..gayahin mo lang yun sa IP..same then sa preferred DNS server…

    next punta sa kabilang pc yung walang internet connection
    follow step 1 to 4

    then ganito lagay mo sa IP 192.168.0.2
    click subnet mask..automatic na lalabas na digit..

    sa default gateway…192.168.0.1
    ganun din sa preferred DNS server 192.168.0.1

    note:

    use cross connetion cable…

    hi po sa inyo! i nid help kasi yung cable ng smartbro nakakabit talaga sa desktop ko. tapos, minsan ikinakabit ko sa laptop ko. ineenter ko yun service number etc everytime na ibabalik at tatanggalin ko yung cable, both sa laptop at sa desktop. ok naman, nakakagamit ako ng internet. pero nung mga nakaraang araw, di na ko makaconnect sa laptop. di na ko maredirect dun sa login page. after kong maghintay, or iclick yung “redirect” nag pe page cannot be displayed. laging ganun. tapos pag binalik ko na sa desktop yung cable, di na ko hinihingan ng service number etc parang ibig sabihin, naset as a default permanent device yung desktop ko.. e dati hinihingan ako.. so pano gagawin ko po? gusto ko ulit magamit yung smartbro sa laptop ko.. please help me.. thanks in advance! by the way, tiningnan ko yung nakalagay sa tray ng laptop ko when i click the 2 monitors na maliit.. nakalagay: connected to Network 7 Connection: Local Only.. dati Local and internet nakalagay e.. i’ve tried everything i know,.. so please help me!

    lolx… try nyo delete ang temp internet files and cookies sa browser nyo.. then kabit ulit yung cable..

    at pra nman po dun sa gumagmit ng router then indi mka connect ang client pc. config nyo po yung router nyo dun sa static ip adress lagay nyo po yung MAC ADDRESS ng tcp/ip nyo.. ksi sinet ng smartbro ngaun na for 1 pc nlng ang connection nila… msg nyo ko sa fs kng may tanong.. paki add nlng po sa frendzzz =) chokichoco@teamwowok.tk

    No need to buy router or any gadgets if wifi ready naman ang laptop. just configure your TCP/IP. make your 1st laptop be the server. Usual connection and the tcp/ip of 1 laptop is the gateway of 2nd laptop.

    I bought a linksys router last week. Ok nman xa for smartbro connection. We have 1 pc and 2 laptops dito sa bahay.Of course, mabagal pren ang connection pro pwede na. Kaya lang i have a problem with my vaio laptop. Madalas itong tinotopak na hindi makadetect ng wifi connection. ano kyang may problema? Ung laptop ba since ung isa nman (toshiba) ay hindi nagkakaroon ng gnon problem o yung router? o yung smartbro?

    if ever na yung vaio ang may problem, what can u suggest to troubleshoot dis case. Thanks.

    Hello, I need some help too. Tried to connect my desktop computers with a router, followed its setup guides but still it doesn’t connect to the internet.

    The guide says that:

    1. Connect to router (192.168.1.1)
    2. Login window will appear.
    3. Go to quick setup and choose WAN connection type provided by your ISP. (PPPoE/ Dynamic IP/ Static IP)

    Practically, I’ve followed this steps but still nothing. I chose the default DYNAMIC IP type because it is the one checked. Should I use PPPoE or Static? Or have I missed something?

    hmmm.. so the TS ask if ICS is possible w/o a router?? well absolutely yes,,

    the only thing we need is to verify… are we connected via PPPoE or just a DHCP assigned network? well kung di mo alam.. para malaman mo na PPPoE ka .. para syang dial-up style bagu ka comonnect… wnile sa DHCP, maghihintay ka lang na kumonnect muna yung modem bagu ka maka internet.

    well kahit anu man dyan same logic lang…

    to avoid conflicts.. disconnect mo muna yung network mo by turning off your switch or unplug the ethernet cable. and dont forget to disconnect to internet.

    for DHCP:

    now that you disconnected… Go to Start>>Control Panel.. Switch to Classic View.. and go to Network Connections.. now makikita mo yung mga adapters na meron ka… if im not mistaken meron kang 2 LAN cards.. (1 for the modem and 1 for your Local) Now we have to find out which of those lan cards used in your Internet and Local.. well pag nakita mo na.. just right click the LAN card used for internet.. then Properties. you will see some network setting there..

    for PPPoE:

    well just go to start>>Connect to>>then … after that.. well youll see your login details ofcourse.. just click the properties..

    Step2: Youll see some tabs there right? well Just go to advance.. and youll see The “ICS” or “Internet Connection Sharing” Configurations there… just check the checkbox that allows Share internet. then choose the adapter that is connected to you Local (which is naka-connect sya with other computers). then click OK

    Step3: Change mo yung Subnet mo with 255.255.0.0.. cause it will conflict with other networks.. well just go back to the adapter that is used by your internet.. then properties.. go to Networking Tab… Scroll down and choose TCP/IP internet protocol.. and click Properties.. well edit the subnet and replaced it with “255.255.0.0″ w/o quotes.. click OK and OK… now were done.. its ready for internet..!!!

    Step4: yeah sa mga other PC side na po ito.. kung saan yun yung mga PC na kukuha nang internet dun sa cinonfig natin.. now Go to Start>>Control Panel.. Switch to Classic View.. and go to Network Connections.. now makikita mo yung mga adapters na meron ka… alam ko isa lang yan hehehehe… just right click and properties.. go to Networking Tab… choose TCP/IP Internet Protocol.. and CLick Properties.. do this::

    for DHCP:

    IP: 192.168.0.2
    Subnet: 255.255.0.0
    Gateway: 192.168.0.1
    DNS: 192.168.0.1
    Alt DNS: leave it blank

    for PPPoE
    IP: 192.168.0.2
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.0.1
    DNS: 192.168.0.1
    Alt DNS: leave it blank

    click OK… now… go to your browser and test internet… ^_^ have fun!!…

    guys… first time ko view ang page na ito… sana meron makatulong.

    i can detect wireless signal (CD-R_KING and router kasi yun nag name ng wireless network ng kapitbahay). successful ako nakaka connect dati. pero ngayon, hindi na. as in, kahit sa wireless network/router hindi ako maka connect. smartbro ang internet connection nya.

    ano po pwede ko gawin? though nakikiconnect ako ng walang paalam, need to do this while waiting for my internet to be installed.

    1. hindi secured ang connection. so walang WEP key or whatsoever.
    2. sasabihin lang “unable to connect”.. mismo sa router.
    3. POSSIBLE ba na naka MAC filter ang router nya?

    im using Globe broadband na may Modem..
    then bumili ako ng router para maconnect koh yung 2 pC koh…
    then tinry kong iconnect yung 2 PC koh.. nagkita sila pero wala namang Internet connection..

    ganito yung setup na ginawa koh..

    -yung modem ay sinaksak koh sa WAN connection
    then yung 2 PC nakasak sak sa 2/4 ports.. may dalawa pang slot,, and anu poh bang setup ang gagawin koh para ma share yung internet connection??

    2 Pc connect.. but no internet…

     Madali lang po ito. gagastos lang po kayo ng 500 plus.
     Step 1: kung dalawang computer lang ala n problema bili lang kayo ng network card isa, worth 250 to 350 install nyo po agad. bili po kayo ng rj45 dalawa 15-20 each. tapos utp cable po dependi kung gaano kalayo, I recommend not more than 100 meters. eh wiring nyo po cross-over.
     Step 2: lagay nyo po ang internet cable nyo sa built-in na network device nyo dapat po naka on ang DHCP ng pc nyo para automatic nya po madetect ang IP address ng internet connection. after nyo po na install n at connected n po sa internet, kunin nyo po ang IP address ng internet connection nyo at eh take note nyo po.
     Step 3: install nyo na po ang network cable. ang isa po n terminal eh lagay nyo sa external network device n binili nyo at ang isa po sa network device ng isang computer.
     Step 4: Take note your Internet Network IP Address po.. Example: Interent Network IP(192.168.0.1) dapat po ang nakalagay na IP address sa External Network Device nyo ay (192.168.0.2)subnet po (255.255.255.0) tapos sa isang pc po ay (192.168.0.3)subnet(255.255.255.0)default gateway (192.168.0.2) pagkatapos nyo po configure.
     Step 5: yung External Network Connection nyo po right click at click Properties tapos eh click nyo po Advance tab at may makikita po kayo dyan ng internet Sharing eh lagyan nyo po ng check yung box tapos Apply nyo at OK…. Magkakaroon n po ng internet connection ang dalawang PC nyo……
