Having multiple PC
May 2, 2007 Author: ug | Filed under: Technical AdviceI had two PC set up in our place and they are connected to smart bro via a LAN hub. When using them simultaneously and connecting to the internet, it would redirect the site to its log-in page. I would then enter the required information, but for a few seconds it would then redirect the site to the log-in page.
I would gladly appreciate it if there’s a solution on this.
Using one PC though is ok, this kind of problem is not encountered.

ung computer nila sa base station remembers your mac address sa computer kung san ka naka login.. so when u open another pc it would again ask you to login kasi iba ang mac add sa kabilang pc mo… try mo config ang router mo and clone the mac add of your first pc.. so that when you open your second pc u dont need to login again… hehee!

replace your lan hub with a router with switch ports so you can use your 2x PCs at the same time. You then plug the Smartbro cable to the WAN connection of your router and your 2 PCs in the switch (LAN) ports of your hub. Most off the shelves router are cheap and easy to configure, plug and play , just follow the instruction manual.

you can use a switch for your 2 pcs to work simultaneously. here’s the catch : your primary pc should have 2 network cards, one is connected to the smartbro cable and the other is connected to your switch. The other pc is also connected to your switch.
Then your primary pc should be configured to share internet connection, in effect your primary pc will act as the dhcp server/router giving the ip address of the 2nd pc.
Another catch is, you can’t use your 2nd pc on internet if the primary pc is not open.
This was my setup before till such time I just a bought a cheap router with switch port, this setup is much better than the 2 LAN card/internet sharing setup.

May paraan ba para maging pareho yung mac address ng 2 pc ko? Minsan kasi inaway ko na yung tech support ng smart kasi tinotopak yung portal nila. Ayaw mavalidate yung isang pc ko kaya di ko malipat yung internet ko. Mas maganda kasi kung mabybypass yung validation nila. Salamat!
thaks omski ung nga ang plano ko router na nga ang solusyon kc ng download ako ng program na proxy server d rin ng work, pg 2 lan card nman mbagal, kya router na nga lang, pra d mhati ung bandwidth, dpat kc prang dsl ng pldt nlang gnaya ng smart pra default gateway lang and DNS ayun na thank bro i owe u hehe…

ang pag ka2 alam ko unique ang mac address d pwede i edit, pero alam ko pwede i clone kya lang d ko alam kng pno hehe.. gwin mo nlang ung gnawa ni omski ung lang ang mgandang solusyon….
madali lang po palitan ang mac address, punta lang kayo sa properties ng lan then configure lan… under sa advanced netwok address select ung network address tapos ilagay mo ung address ng pc kung saan nakaconnect ung internet.
I was able to use my to PC at home simultaneously using a switch hub. I think Smart reconfigured their system to allow multiple PC using the same account.

bro pano mo configure ung smartbro mo sa router ksi pag nakakabit me sa router with other pc ung smart bro ang lumalabas ung portal nila pano kaya un pls help nmn po.ano ba ang configuration na gagawin sa router tnx alot.
Use a DSL/Router na my 4 port. Im using Asus RX3041 automatic configuration na yun. Dapat sa isang pc mo muna ikaw mag login sa portal ng smart then after that pwede na rin mag browse sa net yung isang pc.

pls poh patulong 4 pc ko taz meron akong router at switch hub… tinry ko na connect ng anong combinatuion(eg. connect ko sa router, o sa hub lang o both) pero ayaw pa rin gumana, sa iisang pc lang talaga kac tga open ko ng site mg redirect agad xa tlga sa smart bro log in site… pls po patulong my ead

i have 10 units using smart bro,ganto gawin nyo po direct mo muna yung smart bro sa pc mo tapos login nyo po yung account tapos pagkatapos ma log in which successfull sympre try nyo if meron na outbound then lagay nyo ngayon smartbro utp cable to router sa WAN port tapos yung sa lan port sa hub then hub to all pc connected,config mo yung router using the pc that you login set mo yung WAN sa router using dynamic connection tapos clone nyo yung mac address then done start browsing…

hello patulong naman po. i have shared internet connection with my bayaw using a Dlink 4 port router. Ok naman nakapagconnect naman ako agad but the problem is when the main pc is off nadidisconnect un internet sa pc ko. is there any solution on this para makapaginternet ako kahit naka-off yung main pc. i asked smart bro about it if possible ba na makapaginternet kahit nakaoff yung original pc they said yes….
