Misfortunes of Smart Wifi and Smart Bro Customers
Your favorites wireless broadband service, Smart Wifi, is now called Smart Bro - with more promotional bundles, improved service quality and enhanced customer experience (accoridng to their press release).
Leading wireless services provider Smart Communications Inc. (SMART) today unveiled ‘Smart Bro’, the new brand for its wireless broadband offering, marking a move from its earlier Smart WiFi brand.
Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) will also be reselling Smart Bro in place of myDSL-W, its similar wireless broadband service brand.
Starting April 23, customers who avail of the Smart Bro service will enjoy new promotional bundles. Sales and customer service processes are also being upgraded to improve the customer experience.
The launch of Smart Bro underscores the strategy of the PLDT group to provide its customers with the widest range of broadband connectivity solutions and establish its leadership in the broadband market nationwide.
Initially, Smart Bro is available on one package at Php999.00 monthly, VAT inclusive.
Subscribers will need a PC with Pentium II or higher, 128 MB RAM or higher (preferable 256 MB RAM), Ethernet/ LAN Card, at least 10GB of hard disk space and operating system of Windows 98, 2000, XP, Linux or McIntosh OS.
The Smart Bro service will be available for application at any Smart Wireless Center or PLDT Business Office nationwide, or through any accredited Smart or PLDT Sales agents. Sales activation and after-sales service customer support numbers for SMART Bro remains at *1888 from Smart cellphones, (02) 672 -7277, and PLDT toll-free 1-800-10-772-7277.

for old smart wifi subscribers like me, we still have to pay 988, not 999 like the new smart bro subscribers. also, our speed will remain the same, 384 kbps tops for plan 988. it is not a new service and i believe that not many enhancements were made to the system. it’s just a scheme to attract new customers by changing the notorious name to a new one. on the bright side though, this means smart is taking note of all of our complaints and there are some (small) steps being made. let’s just hope that this change is for the better.
Kaya lang nagpalit ng pangalan ang Smart Wifi To Smart BRO para maitago yung negative feedbacks ng Smart WiFi na masesearch sa Google. Kung Smart BRO nga naman ang search mo, wala pang negative feed back kasi sariwa pa.

hindi sila naging loyal sa original na smartwifi name pano ba naman sa sobrang mga nagrereklamo at negative feedbacks, so now nagpalit ng name para malinis at bago sa pandinig ng tao pero as usual mukang ganun pa rin, kahit 10x sila magpapalit palit ng name, kung hindi naaayos ang serbisyo at palaging intermittent o sobrang sadsad sa bagal, useless din ang service at maraming mag padisconnect at aayaw sa service nila, hanggat humahakot sila ng subscriber sa smartbro nila patuloy ang pangit na serbisyo nila, last week almost 12 days sila down sa base station, ngayon last april 26 up to now down nanaman sila

then mgaling nagkabit sa akin. may ginawa silang test. una ginamit nila ung basically equipments n tlgang un ang ginagamit. pero iniba nila. iba yung ginamit na equipment sa akin. something na may Light Indicators sa isang box tapos may Signal indicator din and Power indicator light. na nagbiblink. pinakaguide mo siya kaya malalaman mo kung gumagana yung connection mo. then yung pinaka transmitter na nasa labas is square shape sya mukhang salamin yung harap. di sya tulad ng kulay puti na pahaba, di yun ang ginamit sa akin. tapos ok yung installation ng bawat equipments. then set up n nya s pc ko. tumawag siya sa smart bsta ganun para i-activate ang intenet ko tapos un ok na… actually 3hours nila ginawa.
then enjoy naman ako sa connection ko.

Ganyan din ako nung una. Bilis ang kabit tapos ang bilis 200+kbps at 400+kbps connection ko. After 5 days nagdown. Pagkaayos nagdown uli after 1 weeks. After 2 weeks nagdown uli. Ngayon eversince nang naayos yung wifi ko 80kbps na lang max connection ko. Sana hindi mangyari sa inyo to.
sana nga hindi. Okay pa naman yung connection ko 3 days after installation.
sa akin nung bagong kabit very satisfied ako. ang bilis ng connection grabe. tapos after 3 months nagbago nawalan ako ng connection sabi congested na daw ung site kung san nakaharap ung antenna ko. tapos inaayos bumagal na. after one week nawala ulit. walang connection for almost one week tapos ginawa nagkaroon for one day. then nawala ulit for two weeks. tapos inaayos ulit nawalan ulit for almost a week ulit. grabe na pinagdaanan ko sa wifi. tapos nasira ung pinaka antenna antay ulit ako ng two weeks para mapalitan.

ngayon almost one week na ulit na down ang connections ko…

Smart WiFi, Smart Bro… whatever name that’d be, what’s important is the current service they render… Now, when I call the *1888, it is no longer the WiFi in the directory title but Smart Bro…. but same-same… same interruptions, same reasons-alibi… same resolution… observe, check, monitor… Haay, please improve your service. I’m michael from laguna.. 8 months nko sa smart wifi… so unang prblma ko sa wifi ko na disconnect kaya nag call ako sa smart bro *1888. 3 days lng nagawa na wifi ko.. bilib ako sa galing kc mabilis ang serbisyo DATI YUN!! . Pero ngyn na disconnect na naman ako nampucha araw araw nko tumatawag sa smart wala pa rin action inabot pa ng one week bago nagawa.. NALUGE TULOY NEGOSYO SA COMPUTER SHOP KO… Kya sinabi ko ipa cut ko nlng wifi ko kapag mabagal ang action nyo nampucha kinabukasan punta na kagad mga contractors nila dito, natakot mabawasan sila ng subcriber he he he..
does the smart services have a Service Level Agreement with the customers that specifies the bandwidth they must provide to subscribers? The bandwidth cannot just be promised as to customers, they have to be legally bound to it, …
