   It will be slower than the canopy coz it uses usb slot…
   It would split the computers memory with other apps…
   It will have to emulate the Ethernet cards function…

   Not sure if Smart is aware that there are alot of people illegally connecting/connected to their AP’s. People even sell their Motorola Canopy’s for as low as Php 2,000 not really sure if they know how much that device is worth.

   I know this beforehand because I know someone hooked up illegally. NO MONTHLY BILLS. Connections like this make paying customers suffer. I mean it’s already slow and these illegal connections make it M&%*#%%(#(*&^% slower.

   Smartbro’s ad said that we will get online connection within 2 to 3 days, we applied for a connection on the 2nd of January and it has been 19 days yet we still don’t have any. We went to a Smart Wireless Center to follow up on the application and they just gave us the run around that they will just call us if a unit is available… meaning, this could even get longer than who knows…
   If I’m not mistaken, there should always be truth in advertising.

   @brat_bastard… Matagal yata talaga kasi nagkakaubusan daw nung unit. 2 weeks bago naapprove yung application namin tapos 1 pa uli bago naibigay yung unit so 3 weeks kaming naghintay.

    all those rekllamo are correct and sincere, in our case since
    our conneciton last month to date, I have not yet experienced of a peaceful connection, meaning everyfew minutes of connection there is always a disconneciton- despite clicking local area connection status – support – repair -the msg always contact the person who manage
    your network – when you contact -you only hear ringing – machine not human -so no repair, no connection – there must lbe a law against business for not answering call from
    customers -after three calls in successon – Hope Sen Estrada
    will file a bill on thismatter – thnks

    In fairness to everyone, SmartBro Plugin does reach very good speeds (higher than 380kbps) around these areas:
    - ATC in Alabang
    - Festival Mall in Muntinlupa
    - Greenbelt 3 in Makati
    - Metrowalk in Ortigas

    …and barely reaches 150kbps (max download) in BF Resort Las Pinas (where they have their own boosted cellsite!).

    So god knows what’s going on with these sites but I assure you that Smart is more clueless than any of us are! Since they sold ZTE USB modems that said it’d get good reception despite their wacky 3G cell network anyway.

    uhmmm… hello, kakasubscribe ko lang sa smartbro plan 999.
    but bakit ung speed ko sa LAN status is 10 mpbs lang? dba dapat 100mbps? napakahina pa ng downloads, around 10-20kbps lang. T__T sana naman ung specs na binibigay nyo ay yung tama at yung nasa contract talaga. five times faster pa ata yung mga internet cafes eh. T_T

    Some questions lang po s mga taga smart or kung sino makapagbibigay ng suggestions.     kabagal kasi eh pag nag dodownload ako ng kung ano man eh nasa10kb per sec ung transfer rate!!! pero nung kakakabet plng ng smart bro ang bilis wala na bang paraan na maibalik ung speed I think ala nmng problem pc ko kasi monthly akong nag rereformat balak ko na tuloy mag PLDT!!!

    Worst is..

    Every 10sec in Game i always Disconnect.

    tanung lang… may smartbro 999 kasi kami na nakuha and we have it for about two months now and they left us with the small adaptor like device which connects directly to the computer without any modems or such… meron bang modem na dapat kasama ito o bibilin pa namin sa smart?

    guys maximum ng pc yun 10mbps o 100mbps… yun yung config ng pc nio…ang smart bro up to 512kbps lang… nag upgrade sila since july 1, 2009 from 384kbps.. well kahapon may nakausap ako na csr and sabi nya upgrade daw ulit from 512kbps to 1mbps ang smartbro plan 999 unlimited… well sana totoo… pero yung sakin umaabot ng 480kbps-560kbps.. consistent na sya ngaun compare b4… kc depende yan sa lapit nio sa base station ng smartbro… yung tower na nagbiblink.. ahehehe… last aug 12 kc nagpaconfig/ settings ng canopy ko.. tumaas na and ang PING nya ave. 8 to 16ms ..wow wla talaga LAG sa special force online.. sulit na.. yun col kau sa smartbro hotline para puntahan kau ng tech nila.. yun lang advice ko sana makatulong… CIAO

    SmartBro has been good since I started subscribing since May last year. The longest I had no Internet connection was 3 days, which occurred once. The other times were just several hours. But now, SmartBro is performing badly in our subdivision. We had unstable connection since Wednesday last week. That’s a record 11 days now!

    Do you know if broadband is affected by the number of subscribers serviced by a base station? I’m thinking now na nirarasyon ng SmartBro yong service kasi these past days, sometimes connection is okay for about 2 hours, and then
    mawawala for about 5 hours, then returns for 30 mins or an hour, and then goes off again.

    I don’t like moving to Globe Broadband, because the speed is slow (nakikigamit ako pag walang SmartBro), kaya lang di ko alam kung anong balak ng SmartBro dito ngayon sa amin. I’m frustrated that they are not doing anything to solve the problem when they have a lot of customers in our area.

    I called trice and smart bro did adjustment in our 999 plan to be consumed for 2 years contract…The costumer service stated that they took an adjustment and I received a message on my mobile phone a confirmation, yet our connection still the same, smart bro stated that there are no error report or technical error report on our connection… T_T damn We can’t Enjoy this service… We want to quit this service and switch to other network but as costumer we have to pay for the remaining balance for 2 year contract as signed. for my 4 years of using smart bro only the past 2 years were stable and we enjoy the service from smart bro… starting august 2011 – jan 2012 our connection became weird its only available on midnight sooner our connection is unstable… We even pay advance..
