what upgrade? the agent that i spoke with dated aug 3, 2009 around 8:15 pm until 10:00 pm had no idea about the upgrade they had… nice… interesting they have people who has no idea what’s going on within their work place

im using a canopy too, and i already reformated my pc because i was suspecting a virus might be the cause why my connection is so slow. but its still the same old slow connection. and i already visited the smart wireless center to tell them the problem and they told me that a they would call me in order to diagnose the problem but upto now they haven’t called yet its been 2 day for crying out loud!!

i had already connection of smart bro here at san carlos city,negros occidental. it happened that i moved a house and the guy who installed my connection said i had relocation charge for my connection. so he got the antennae and he brought that to his home. Now, last monday i paid him 1,000 pesos for my relocation charge and why until now i still dont have connection?he said that i have to wait?how long do i have to wait for it? it’s been a week already.more than 1 week.
my address is fatima village,block 9,lot 9,san carlos city,negros occidental. i moved a house and waiting for my connection for i paid it already.

@wifi, alam mo tama ka, smart just texted me earlier that they are currently upgrading, and that i may experience inconveniences, pero its been 3 weeks since they started the upgrade bad3p lang kasi ayoko naman bayaran yung whole month ko na ndi ko nakuha yung magandang serbisyo.. wala ba silang discount kapag ganun bad3p lang kasi… i am paying the right amount and regularly. but the service i got sucked for 3 weeks.. is this what im paying for? pwede ba ko mag demand nang discounts coz thats what im planning to do…

amp 57.54kbps lang speed ko, para lang akong naka dial up bad3p naman bat ganito, 1 month nang naguupgrade yung base station namin pota. gang ngaun wala pa din.. syet talaga, tpos alam nyo ba kapag tumatawag sakin yung techsupport nang smart? biglang mag boboost yung speed ko aabot nang 700kbps pero after ilang hours babalik na sa 57.54 – 90 kbps tpos ayun tatawag nanaman ako sa kanila.. nagsususpetsa na nga ko bka may gnagawa sila para mapabilis yung internet speed ko during the time na tumatawag sila para lang masabing ok yung internet ko eh bad3p….. ina talaga… im paying 999 for a dial up speed of 57.54kbps, smart naman 4 christ sake! pakiayos naman serbisyo nyo!

@weakbro pre yung location ko is pampanga and take note dalawang kanto lang ako sa base station nila amp tlga, i have no other choice kasi tinurn down kmi nang pldt dsl dahil d na daw ma aacomodate nang bandwidth nila kng magdadagdag pa sila nang customers, wla namang ibang kumpetensya yung smart d2 sila lang ang nagiisang provider nang wireless internet d2 bad3p talaga alam mo 1 month na ko nagrereklamo sa kanila d na sila magkumahog kung anung report ang gagawin sakin. to find out that sabi sakin lately nang customer department nila na kaya daw bumabagal is nagkakaroon nang network congestion… grrr… nagtataka lang ako wala ba silang limit sa mga kelangan nilang customers like if you have a bandwidth limit of 30mbps = 30 clients clearly enough kaya nagkakaroon nang network congestion dahil sa sobrang dami nang customers na hindi maacomodate nang base station nila.. haaay kmi ang nagsusuffer d2 d namin mamaximize yung connection, wala ba talagang action na magagawa d2 ive tried na sa website nang national telecommunications commission pero laging down yung site nila naiinis na talaga ako d2 haaay… help naman mga guys 57.40kbps speed ko amp talaga… parang dial up lang potaness
I have smartbro 999 plan. I am an australian citizen, and use the internet in Australia often. In Australia I use Telstra Bigpond. Smartbro 999 wifi is slower than dial up in Australia. It is the slowest internet I have ever used. And, it seems very difficult to contact customer support to advise them of my issues. Also, in Australia I can get 15G download for approximatly 1200P per month, and I do not use the fasted connection. For such a big company, you need to be held accountable for this terrible system.
oo nga. tama kayo. kahit din dito sa laguna eh. pero as what i saw sa mga speeds na na-mention nyo, mas mabagal sainyo compare dito samin. medyo malapit na kasi kami sa metro manila eh. but ganun din. same problem. mabagal nga. di ako satisfied sa internet connection speed that they provide. sa case ko naman, sa una lang mabilis, pero katagalan, bumabal na. ano kaya yon? mabagal na nga, bumagal pa! san ka pa? ung sinasabi nilang upgrade up to 512kbps, fluctuating!
I’m so happy with this connection! if times nga na bumibilis, madalas naman ang pag display ng “Internet Exploer cannot display the Web page” or “Server not found” Kulang nalang “Page not loaded due to SmartBRO” ang lumabas na display message eh!

my speedtest results are 780+ kbps for download and 200+kbps for upload. actual download speed ranges from 60kbps up to 90kbps. before upgrade oi can only download around 30kbps. las pinas area. thanks for the upgrade. ^^
I’m getting 76-100Kb/s(768-1000kbps) most of the time. It should be same for other SmartBRO subcribers as long as na-upgrade na ung area ninyo. Nung July pa na-upgrade ung smin eh.
As for SkyBroadband, halos pang mayaman lang un. Have you guys seen the coverage areas? Ayala Alabang, Hillsborough? As if most of us can afford residing in those areas.
if only there are other broadband internet providers in our area, id happily terminate my contract with smart bro. to think that they are advertising “WITH SPEEDS 4X FASTER THAN DIAL UP” now a days dial up reach speeds up to 300 – 500kbps compared to what im getting with smartbro which is 50-100kbps WTF! maybe they should advertise it like this “WITH SPEEDS 4X SLOWER THAN DIAL UP”.. which is more appropriate….

2 kanto lang ako sa site nila or base station pero speed ko 50-100kbps lang amp 3months and 1 week na tong ganito
Actually all the new SMART BRO offerings both plug it and share it are offering 2 mbps speeds and sometimes deliver.
Both share it has antenna connections and plug it if inserted in a globe or sun modem usb plug it opened line has a antenna connection to make better speeds even indoors.
With an outdoor antenna and not far from a cell tower you should get these speeds at times.

8 s really true, I am having no comments with all those comments above. cauze me too is suffering this download speed that i have now is 0.70Mbps still. hope i still hav the chance to be upgraded. This is my ISP 121.54.47.52.
As for my experience with Smart Bro, their service may not be at par with cable or DSL, but they deliver 80% of the time for the advertise speed of 384kbps before and recently 1Mbps, i’m hitting those speed 90% of the time, but to my dismay, my connection now and has been for more than 48 hours is very slow hitting only about 15-20KBps….

hi, confirm ko lang, smart bro ako for 2 years. Ang downloads ko dati ang max ay 50-60kbps lng with dl accelerator, ngayon pumapalo na sa 100kbps, kahit torrent. I didn’t pay more, binago lang talaga nila. I’m in Pasig area (town proper) hehehe. I’m starting to love smart bro.

Yes, I can access my canopy and made some adjustment. Also observed that I Smartbro plan 999 of 384kbps has upgraded its speed, but maybe it is still under-observation. I have tried getting to speedtest and speakeasy speed test, and my speed reaches @ 795 to 800kbps. I live in Cebu. I cannot say that Smart has improved there downloading because I tried downloading software/apps but experience still same download and I guess they upgraded there system speed and thats with in, maybe they have to check really.

I’m a new smartbro customer. So far so good nmn connection ko. Advertised speed nila is 384kbps.. that is 48kBps.. (1Byte=8bits).. I’m receiving an average of 120kbps which is FAST… I don’t know if I’m being sarcastic here.. haha.. I tried to contact their support team, I was surprised that their “technical team was that technical”.. haha “sarcasm”… I’ll be monitoring my connection for 1 month maybe, and if I won’t notice any difference I would take screen shots and have them emailed to SMART.. I don’t want to contact their technical team coz I’m more technical than they are… Imagine they are asking me to ping a website when in fact I already told them that the power adapter is faulty.. wtf.. UPGRADE from 384kbps to 512kbps sounds good… I’m looking forward to that… I wonder when is the scheduled upgrade here in our area…

I’ved worked for At&T Internet Services, Microsoft and Dell so medyo me alam din ako sa Networking and PC’s. Malapit lang din ako sa Base nila so I think paglalaruan ko muna mga settings ng Canopy nila and Tweak ko ang pwede kong ma tweak.
Sana lang bumilis pa ung connection nila kasi malapit na 2012. Gusto ko namang ma enjoy ang mabilis na internet connection bago magunaw ung mundo. @_@
