Smart Bro subscribers will soon be treated to an upgrade as wireless leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) introduces the Smart Bro Power Plug It. Sporting a new user interface, the Power Plug It not only provides a better and easier Internet surfing experience, but also allows subscribers to send text messages and make phone calls via the revamped services menu.


“The Smart Bro Power Plug It is a true plug-and-play device,” said Danilo J. Mojica, head of Smart’s Wireless Consumer Division. “All it requires from the user is to follow the one step installation instruction and they’re good to go.”

The user interface is the jump-off point to all the features and services of Smart Bro Power Plug It. At the top of the home screen is the subscriber’s unique Smart Bro mobile identification number (MIN) and below it are the remaining balance and connection time indicators. With instant information on load and usage times, users will be able to manage their budget as they surf.

At the center is the promo alerts screen, which allows users to instantly avail of ongoing promos with just a click of the mouse.

The new user interface also features an icon bar at the bottom which houses the home, text, and settings buttons and the new voice call and Subscriber Corner features.

The Subscriber Corner is a one-stop shop for Smart Bro’s latest promos and data packages. Here, users can choose from either sachet or UNLIsurf packages or avail of daily free text messages powered by ChikkaTM.
Your PC is a mobile phone

With the Smart Bro Power Plug It, any computer can instantly become a mobile phone. Simply click on the phone button on the menu and users can make voice calls just like they would on voice messenger applications. Similarly, users can also send text messages to their friends as if they’re chatting with them online.

New subscribers can avail of the Smart Bro Power Plug It kit for P1,245 (with free 120 hours worth of load valid for 5 days) at any Smart Wireless Center nationwide. Existing Smart Bro Plug It users, meanwhile, can have their sticks updated via software download.
