   Can anyone tell me why we should upgrade?

    CANOPY COLOR CODE
    To troubleshoot your connection or to simply gawk at it, you can go to Tools, then choose the AP Evaluation tab, there yuo will see the various Base Stations available within your area range. Look for your Color Code Number, the ideal Color Code (or Base Station) is the one with a high RSSI and low Jitter. You can now chage your Color Code (Base Station) in Configuration -> Radio tab. You can change it, then click on Save Changes

    kung magpapalit ka ng color code dapat cguraduhin nyo na mataas ung parameter ng color codde na ipapalit nyo at kung mababa ung parameters na ipapalit nyo sasakit lng ulo nyo.. ang my matas na parameters ay ung malapit na base station sa location ng antenea o nyo.. pwede nyo i relocate ung antenae sa mas malapit na bsae station na my matas na parameters.. be care full sa pag akyat sa bubung ng bahay nyo lol..

    for SmartBro user only with 10.xxx.xxx.xxx series ip address:
    option 2: if you still cant access your canopy using the above option (not sure kung meron na thread bout this 2nd part.)..den your IP address is in 10.xxx.xxx.xxx series…you can have your ip address the bloody way or the easy way…look for esn# (where to find?) a). bloody way…pde mo akyatin canopy antennae mo and take note of the last 6 digit sa esn # nkalagay sa canopy mo..b)easy way..if natago nyo ung box ng pinaglagyan ng canopy from the day of the installations. may esn# dun..swerte kung natago..take note of the last 6digit..

    converting your 6 digit to your ip address

    the 6 digit you have may compose of alpha and numeric digit..each two digit has corresponding decimal number..sample if my last 6 digit is like this A1B2B3 if you convert this to decimal:
    (sample only)
    A1 = 161
    B2 = 178
    C3 = 195
    then my IP address would be 10.161.178.195…then try yours..take note of your ip address..

    4. now you have your 10.xxx.xxx.xxx ip address time to access your canopy..control panel -> network connections -> right click then properties -> select internet protocol (TCP/IP) -> click properties -> use the following IP address: 10.20.30.40 -> subnet mask: 255.0.0.0 -> ok -> then close

    5. open a new tab in your browser..enter the IP address in your address bar that you had obtain earlier..(e.g. 10.161.178.195)..you must have access your canopy page now…access in your canopy having problem with mozilla 3..try using internet explorer if you cant access using mozilla..

    kahit anong upgrade o ano man gawin nyo dyan sa antena nyo di na tataas yan. kasi yang ginagamit na iniinstol ng mga contractor hanggang 512kbps lang maximum nyan atsaka may mga package per subscriber. hanggang 384 lang kayo.kung tumaas dun, swerte nyo kasi baka hindi nka enable yung bandwidth manager ng base station.

    tingnan nyo yung model ng canopy nyo. kung 5760, hanggang 512 lang yan. yung 5700 na model hanggang 2mbps

    Hi gud DAY! I’m a service Engineer of a TECLO company based cebu. I think the problem sa Smart bro. was the alignment and Directivty/gain ng antenna nila. The contractor did not consider those factor. Kung Mag install kc ng wireless link kilangan yung gain ng antenna is Good as well as the directivity(EIRP).

    Meron po kaming available product that will increase the Gain of the said antenna. Ito po yung tinatawag na CANOPY REFLECTOR and CANOPY LENS.

    ~16dB in 5.2 & 5.4 GHz band (Note: LENS adds +9dB to +7dB internal patch antenna)

    Yung LENS is used kung medyo hindi kalayoan yung distance nyo from the ACCESS POINT(smart antenna). Yung Reflector naman since mas malaki xa (dish type), mas high gain yung maibibigay nya!

    HOW imPORTANT is THE GAIN of an ANTENNA?
    In broad definition, Antenna gain is a measurement of the ability of an antenna to pick up weak or distant signals. The gain of an antenna is directly related to its directivity, the antenna gain is a measure that takes into account the efficiency of the antenna as well as its directional capabilities

    One good example, for you to clearly visualize the benefit of a REFLECTOR and LENSE is light bulb. To increase the directivity of a bulbs light, as in a flash light or automobile head lamp, we add a reflector (antenna) behind the bulb. At a distance, in the light beam, the light bulb now appears to be much brighter. The amount that the bulb appears brighter compared to the bulb with out a reflector is the directivity of the reflector (antenna). When the directivity is converted to decibels we call it the antenna gain relative too an isotropic source (dBi).

    Hoi wag nyong gagalawin yung color-code ng SM nyo! kayo din…. pag hindi ma tama yung color code na ininput nyo! no connection kayo! kc yung color code na naka lagay sa Radio nyo kaparihas ng color-code na nakalagay sa Access-POint ng Smart. dapat match yan para mag register xa! tsaka yung sinasabi nyo na mag babago yung speed pag ginalaw nyo ibang settings, di toto-o yan! depende kc yan sa binibigay ne SMART. Yung canopy kc medium lang yan para maka pag transmit ng data from the internet provider w/c is yung SMART at sa CPA or costumer premises Area w/c is ikaw! dyan dumadaan yung internet/data na galing sa provider! so kshit anong galaw nyo dyan walang mangyayari! Ganito lang yan eh! For example ako yung internet provider tapos yung gusto kung e feed sa AP(accessPoint) ko is 1mb lang. pag dating sa SM(subscriber module) ganun parin yan. Pwede pa nga humina yan kung hindi maganda pag ka align tapos kung medyo malayo na yung subscriber sa WISPs o wireless internet provider (SMART). Ang importane kc sa SM(subscriber Module) sa configuration dapat yung JITTER hindi lalampas ng 4. tapos yung RSSI dapat hindi baba-ba ng 1000. kung ma achieve mo yan maganda connection mo! or e Link Test mo para makita mo yung downlink at yung Uplink speed nya! for more info, email nyo ako para ma discuss ko sa inyo tapos ma introduce ko yung product na maganda gamitin para maging Stable yung connection nyo! thank you!….

    Sa mga hindi ma access ang CANOPY nyo try this…..

    1. Go to network connections in the control panel
    2. Right click on the local area network
    3. Highlight Internet Protocol and click on properties
    4. Set to Use the Following IP address
    5. Set the IP Address to “10.20.30.40″
    6. Set the Subnet to “255.0.0.0″
    7. Leave the gateway blank
    8. Leave the DNS blank
    9. Apply the changes
    10. Then go to command prompt
    11. Type in the command prompt c:\arp -a
    arp -a – Displays current ARP entries by interrogating the current protocol data. If inet_addr is specified, the IP and Physical addresses for only the specified computer are displayed. If more than one network interface uses ARP, entries for each ARP table are displayed.
    12. It will show several IP address
    13. After you get the IP address of your canopy, open your browser (I prefer Mozilla Firefox)
    14. Type the IP address at the address bar to get access to the smartbro admin site.

    Mga brod, ang mga canopy antenna ay naka password. Yung iba hindi na ma change yung settings kasi sa password. Pero madali lang yan. Pwede naman e reset yun para mawala yung password. Para anytime pwede na ma change ang color code. jack_m117@yahoo.com
