Misfortunes of Smart Wifi and Smart Bro Customers
Anyone other than me experience a huge drop in dl speeds after the last typhoon? My dl speeds drop to 2-9 kbps. And it’s been like that since last wednesday. The speeds get back to “normal’ though somewere after 12 AM though. Btw, i’m from Montalban, Rizal. I just want to find out if other areas are also experiencing less than normal speeds.

baka nawala sa alignment. just ask for a service team to visit your place to check everything (antenna, base station, etc.)
or if you’re into DIY then you could change color codes and alter your Canopy’s settings.
hindi naman ako nagkaproblema sa connection ko after nung bagyo. though siguro swerte lang talaga kami dun sa subdivision namin..
pero meron mga times na wala talaga kaming connection (around 2 to 3 times pa lang), pero after an hour or so, back to normal na ulit yung connection.
ako nmn po after the typhoon ala nmn nging problem so far,almost mag 1 1 year na ung connection ko but d nmn ngkakaproblema.im from pasig.cguro dahil sa maganda ang pag kakalagay ng antenna and nasa kanto lang namin ang base station at line of sight cya tlga.isa pa after i configure my canopy antenna na reach ko ung 384kbps connection pumapalo pa nga cya kng minsan ng 400kbps.
384kbps = 96KBps
i’m also from montalban, rizal near the mercury drug, my canopy has a line-of-sight orientation to the base station a kilometer away, since it was setup last May 2007 and i did some tweakings i got an average/steady speed of 300-400kbps = 75-100KBps. but not until this last typhoon, since tuesday my connection was intermittent and was averaging from 0-50kbps = 0-12.5KBps and sometimes getting a spike up to 100kbps = 25KBps (kung kelan nawala ung ulan don naman nagkaganito). I’ve done some test to find out whats happening, and base from the results is that my link to my base station was perfect, i wonder that the problem is from the base station itself connecting to their main line (something like that), then i called the very popular number for smartbro subscribers “*1888″ (as always, you have to wait several to almost 15mins of that sick song “maghihintay ako”), upon answered by a CSR you have to give your name and account number then i asked several questions then told me to do several things to find out where and what the problem is. i’m no getting satisfied with the response and my ear is getting hot for staying more than 30mins of call so i just ended by saying yes to all the questions she asked like i will be contacted by their support etc. etc.
and till now nobody contact me and still my connection is at worse. i can’t even attached a 1mb file to my e-mail.
there is a net cafe whose using smartbro near my place and is also experiencing same slow connection speed.
pano mag-apply ng rebate?
im sorry for the earlier post which i only divided 384 into 4
1 Byte = 8 bits
284kbps = 48KBps
please do the math na lang don sa nai=post kong mga speeds
OMG :O
384kbps = 48KBps
WTF! I’M ONLY HAVING 26.8KBPS FROM QUICK FIX SPEED TEST
- Smart Bro Plan999
- Cainta
