Misfortunes of Smart Wifi and Smart Bro Customers
It’s my first time to see this site…well i was surprised to find people sharing the same problems like me with the smart unsatisfying broadband service! I just got connected last august 19, and damn nobody told me it’s gonna be hard as hell using smart-broadband here in the mountains of Baguio city! my speed is in an amazing range of 30-60 kbps,if its foggy or raining…good-luck if you could find a signal they say. If I’m lucky at least I’m reaching 125kbps.
I’ve been complaining thru their offices here and manila, they’ve sent their best field techs here,even they can’t explain to me when they saw my speed and said it’s not accurate,my anti-virus is making it slow or the tower( has temporary problems,needs a reset)excuses that is!. They cannot change the direction of my antenna because their other two options is either far or being covered by another mountain. They can’t do anything about it,I’m trying to cancel my subscription but it looks like they’re gonna give me a hard time…they’re calling me 3 to 4 times a day asking the same stupid questions. Does anyone here able to cancel their subscription successfully? Please enlighten me…..how long will this take? I got more furious when i got my first bill!!!

I did it! Try to build against them by calling and send e-mail to the customer service daily. from day 1 i got their service I only got 40kbps. Almost week I asked them to change the canopy ( they did it 4 times) and on the last time they admitted that the problem is with their base station. It already exceeded (it’s capacity) the number of subscriber that’s why I getting intermitent and slow signals. Just make sure that your conversation with the customer service is recorded and documented. Go to the wireless center where you register/paid the initial P999. Prepare a letter of termination explaining the problem and your disappointment with their service. Add this to your letter:

Regarding this advertisement, based of the RA7394 or Consumer Act of the Philippines Title III - Protection Against Deceptive,Unfair and Unconscionable Sales Acts or Practices; Chapter 1Article 48 to 52. I’ll just want to highlight Article 52
Art. 50. Prohibition Against Deceptive Sales Acts or Practices. - A deceptive act or practice by a seller or supplier in connection with a consumer transaction violates this Act whether it occurs before, during or after the transaction. An act or practice shall be deemed deceptive whenever the producer, manufacturer, supplier or seller, through concealment, false representation of fraudulent manipulation, induces a consumer to enter into a sales or lease transaction of any consumer product or service.
I file my formal letter 1 month after it was installed and it was terminated Sept. 10. The customer service replied to me thru email that the pre-termination fee was waived.

Baguio? I think there’s a problem with the base stations there.
not so smart bro here in baguio really sucks…….but not for those who are near the base stations….
but how about those who are far from stations….i bet they are experiencing the same problem we all have…..

wha wha wha. same problem here. subsscribed last oct 06 paid my bills till march, stopped paying and complaining almost daily. disconnected last july 14, received a letter from the lawyer and i called smart, reconnected my internet last sept 6, still complaining.
just reccord them all then go to their wireless center sa SM Baguio. Sabay bigay ng termination letter. I havent made mine yet cause magandaganda nman connection ko ngaun pero ill only pay my bills from sept 6 not those mhs na my problem.
im from baguio too btw. and everytime i conplain sa wireless center and see people wanting to subscribe, i wanted to convince them not to…
thats the problem im paying my bills even though there is a problem….
sad thing is if i try to disconnect…they say that im gonna pay the months that i haven’t used….grabe……one sided….sila lang ang yumayaman….how about their unsatisfied customers…..
