Misfortunes of Smart Wifi and Smart Bro Customers
Scam kaya talaga???? Baka me reason naman kaya ganun??? Either way, Smart is still improving in its current state.
Lets give it a chance . Pero pag abuso, kasuhan na ![]()

Ako ok siya for 5 days after noon hell na hanggang ngayon. Average speed is 80kbps to 120kbps all throughout the day except from 4am to 11am.
KARAMAY MO KAMI!!!
1 year na me na Smart WiFi subs.. and to-date over 80GB of downloaded MP3s and Movies..etc na ang na-accumulate ko.
Indeed there are days/nights that you experience intermittent connection. But guys, didn’t you realize, or have you realized - it is WIRELESS. Same thing that happens sa mobile mo, low signal at times, lag ang text, noisy voice signal…
Same thing you might experience sa WiFi..
But mind you guys, happy ako.. In fact my PC is always on kase my household are hooked already sa PC ko…
We are able to talk to my bro in Alaska. LAking tipid kase YM voice and webcam.
Research are done sa google na/internet..
Useless na books ng mga pamangkin ko..
My location: Paco-Pandacan Area.
So guys, chill! ok..
Think of the positive side…
Syempre, birhtpains yan. New service pa lang in the philippines. Eh ano alternative niyo sa WiFi..
Sige nga…
Cool guys…
Alvin…
Happy Bro Subs
@Alvin_Miguel
i think it depends upon the area,,, Are you near to the Smart Base Station??? because me im 2.6 km away from the Base Station.
But my problem with Smart Bro have never been fix,,,
Problems:
1. When it rains i get disconnected.
2. At night i get disconnected (Every night yan)
3. Every weekends my bandwidth is very low (pluctuating)
4. I have to wait morning to get my internet connection back.
I am happy for you because you never experienced our current situation and problems…
1. RSSSI = at least 500
2. Jitter = 0 - 4
3. Download Efficiency = 90% up
4. Upload Efficiency = 90% up
5. No. of Users sa AP (access point) = less than 10 para ok
dami kasi obstruction buti may clear line of sight mula sa bubong namin.
antenna.
To Cympaulie and all Smartbro BroadBLAND users:
connection natin.
Eto naman ang data ng connection ko:
1 RSSI = 800 to 1000 (Optimum yan)
2. Jitter = 0 to 1 lang (Optimum ulit yan)
3. Download Efficiency = 100%
4. Upload Efficiency = 100%
5. Number of Users per AP = 3 lang kami
Ganda ng stats di ba?
Pero speed ko from 0.1Kbps to 120 Kbps (most of the time)
Every 3 to 5 days Mag-spike siya up to 512 Kbps, minsan mas mataas pa
tapos babagsak na naman after a few hours of spiking. Or worse mawawalan
ng connection entirely.
Kalokohan yung line of sight. You must know that these SMART wireless
internet transmitters use microwave. Ibang signal frequency at antenna yung
ginagamit ng cellular technology. Kalokohan yung sinasabi nila na cellular
network ang ginagamit nila for our connections. Ang totoo, yung tower lang
ang ginagamit kasi doon nakakabit yung transmitter for our wireless internet
service. Kaya kahit ano yang nakaharang as long as hindi reflective metals sa
They use
Microwave. As long as these vans transmitters can produce enough juice,
aabot at aabot yan sa TV Station nila. Kung hindi, Iba-bounce nila yan sa isang
relay station to re-transmit papunta sa destination either by satellite or optic
cables.
Ang main culprit talaga bakit mabagal ang connection nating users.
KASUWAPANGAN!
problema. It just so happens na sa communications din nakalinya business ng
pinagtatrabahuan ko kaya well versed ako kahit hindi ako communications
engineer.
problema natin. Kaya kung mas marami ang gagamit at one time. Ma-i-isplit
yung bandwidth sa lahat ng online at that time.
ng NTC sa MERIDIAN TELEKOMS for this Wireless Broadband Service.
MERIDIAN was bought by SMART (100%) at wala akong nabalitaan na
nga-apply ang SMART sa NTC or DOTC ng allocation for bigger Bandwidth
for Smart Wi-Fi now Smartbro. Ang ginawa lang nila, they made the package
to connect ATTRACTIVE with bigger bandwidth (daw). Dati 2X than dial-up
lang ngayon up to 7x (daw). Pag nakuha mo yung data, divide mo yun sa
actual number of users (subscribers). Whether online or offline. Yun ang
magiging actual allocated bandwidth mo. Of course kung kokonti ang online,
bibilis ang connection mo.
Sa tingin ko the bandwidth is so small that we users suffer kahit sakto bayad
natin. At para disimulado, yung speed burst nila, rotated every 3 to 5 days.
base station…” By the time ma-resolve yung problem naka-tatlong araw na.
After that. Babagsak ulit. Then the cycle rotates again. Subukan ninyong
So that means,
nating lahat.
To Alvin_Miguel: Good for you at satisfied ka sa connection mo.
amin SPEED and RELIABILITY is a VERY BIG issue. Just try downloading a
e-mail with errors. Di ba sakit sa ulo? At mabuti sana kung 5 minutes lang
yung download and upload problem mo. Hours pa kung minsan. At kailangan
FASTER THAN DIAL-UP? Nasaan na yung promise na “ALWAYS STAY
CONNECTED”. YUN ANG BINABAYARAN MO. Think about it.
GUYS NAKIKIRAMAY AKO SA INYO.. but technically depende sa location where you’re at. I live near Sampaloc, Welcome rotonda where PLDT tower is located at and nakatapat ang smart bro ko sa tower kaya rain or shine mga friends hindi ako nawawalan. I am using canopy kaya stable sya. I don’t know about the portable one kung ok sya but as far as i know, para syang cellphone na paibaiba ang strength ng signal. So in short, depende sa place.
All I can say is, I’ve been with Smart Bro for more than 2 years now, and I hate their service. Too bad I have no other choice than Smart Bro. I’ve had horrible customer service experiences with them. My connection gets disconnected every few hours and when it connects it doesn’t properly acquire network settings, so I would usually have to wait about 30 minutes before I can get a decent connection to the net again. I called Smart Bro and they just had me monitor my service for 24 hours after I’ve been calling them day after day for the past 2 weeks… I’ve just given up… Their service sucks and I’ve been telling everyone I know about it.
