Misfortunes of Smart Wifi and Smart Bro Customers
I’ve been downloading files for sometime now and i noticed that it keeps on downloading slower and slower… so i ran tests to figure out how slow i’ve been downloading files.. and i just can’t believe what i’m seeing… IS THIS FOR REAL?.. i’ve been downloading files at the speed of dial-ups!!! and yet i’m paying that much? what can we do about this?

all post here are true im a Smart user myself and I tell you its hell having it installed in your house. Its not only the internet connection thats Bad, even the Tech support! the worst people you could ever talk, I dnt know if they doing it on purpose or there just to damn to solve problems. Ive got connection problem since day one up to now. Boy they really sucks! im planning of making hate campaign through the net to tell people how bad their service and how lousy their people are. Wish some people from smart read this forum.
The only thing I can suggest is learn the basic of networking e.g configuring your tcpip, using ping, tracert, and also download netstat live since it’s their “standard tool” to measure your internet speed. Not all their customer support are technical people and only following a list of action depending on the problem. Also, annoying it may seems, they will let you repeat these actions even you told them that you already have done them to prevent idle time while checking their other resources. I’m also having connection problem from time to time and these are mostly “technical activities” from the base station..
Speed test from speakeasy.net/speedtest show speeds of only 85kbps download.

try adjusting the MTU settings of the lan card (network interface) to 1492. By optimizing the MTU setting you can gain substantial network performance increases.
