Misfortunes of Smart Wifi and Smart Bro Customers
Hi!
I want to host my personal ftp server or web and also running MS SQL Server, like what i did to PLDT MyDSL (Dynamic IP). If i am not mistaken, Smartbro/wifi has shared IP but could it be possible? For now i can ping my IP (203.84.174.118) , but still could not connect to my host pc. I believe everything were configured well aside from canopy configuration. Does it still need of port routing found in their CANOPY or Wifi antennae? Please anybody could give an idea.
Thank you very much.

hmmm parang hindi pede…shared public ip ang gamit ng smartbro.. at private ip lang ang gamit ng mga client…
yaup, impossible, parang nakiki-share lng tayo sa office Lan nila LOL
how about using DynDNS or no-ip.com from my understanding kasi magkakaroon ka ng static ip-address using no-ip.com gaya sa akin im using linksys router with tomato v1.7 as firmware after ko nag member sa no-ip.com binigyan ako ng static ip address which is 121.1.63.x tried running iq web/ftp server i did port forwarding in my router. sa LAN side ko nakikita ang ftp/web server ko kaso problema sa labas ng router ko hindi ko sya ma access. Even tried putting my server’s ip address in DMZ thinking this would bypass the router, but to no avail i cant still se my server outside my LAN.
Anyone had a solution to this problem. and before i forgot my ISP is SMARTBRO since it is the only available ISP in my place.
I tell you, its very impossible with smartbro. kasi inde public ip nakukuha ng computers/routers natin sa kanila, yung IP na nakikita mo sa what’s my ip is yung pinaka-gateway lang natin, kahit may dynaDNS ka pa wala pa rin yan effect yan.
