Misfortunes of Smart Wifi and Smart Bro Customers
Hello there, im a month old user of the smartbro internet service and i’m already experiencing fluctuating and intermittent connection which is terribly annoying. i have already called the hotline of smart and far from what i read here, they responded too fast but what i acquired was just reassurance that they will send someone to monitor the area because according to them, i am receiving fluctuating signals which causes the intermittent connection. Am i just the only unlucky cursed individual to suffer from this? If then, what did you do or should i ask, what have you been doing to solve the problem? I’m totally annoyed already with this kind of connection. By the way, im from Bulacan area. This thing started about a week ago…hope something beautiful turn up…haaay.
P.S. the intermittent connection i think peaks most during 10am-4pm. At night time, the connection is flawless SOMETIMES…im just wondering, is the signal good during night time only?!? hmmm…picky signal huh!

the csr in smart are quite polite though as many said, you really need to listen to Mozart’s Fur elise for quite a long time before a voice speaks…nonetheless, the service is really good, 2 days after i called, two representatives from smart visited our house and did something in the settings of my canopy that resolved the problem. Similarly, they notified us of the cell site upgrade they are doing near our place that greatly affected the signals the antenna are receiving these past few days. Anyways, as of now, i am receiving continuous free flowing connection that i wish to stay forever…haaay…^^
OK naman so far ang connection namin sa smart bro dito sa East Rembo sa Makati. One factor to our advantage is mataas ang lugar namin, according to the tech.
TIPS: Try to reboot your pc and unplug/replug the antenna power cable and check your physical cable connections. Reboots usually solve a lot of problems. Make sure that your LAN is enabled. If it is, try disabling and enabling it again. If you get invalid IP using Start>Run>cmd>ipconfig /all, like 10.10.x.x, 171.x.x.x, likely you need to call your computer manufacturer, or try to reseat your NIC or LAN card. If you get 192 authentication error, call smart tech support or try reset. Try the ping website command. If you can ping website IP, but not the website URL, likely you need to change your DNS settings. Please check too if you have proxy server settings. You could also see if you have firewalls on. If you do, turn it off. Kung doble doble antivirus/security suite mo, gawin mo isa lang dapat. Tingnan mo ren baka may parental control o surf control (like kung nasa work ka). Try another net browser, too, kasi pwede faulty browser lang. Try to optimize your browser (clear history, cache, ensure security is not High, load defaults, clear proxy settings-kasi some applications, like yahoo apps, change them). Try another website na ren, baka sira lang website na binubuksan mo. Or try to plug the antenna power cord into another socket if the antenna power pack doesn’t have a green light. In cases of shoddy electric wiring, try connecting to a socket near a bathroom (dun usually maganda wiring). Remove sources of static, like halogen lamps, radio antennas, etc. Check your cables if frayed too. Try typing in 169.254.1.1 to access the antenna settings graphic user interface itself and reset refresh rate to 1, color to 210.
im from bulacan din po…. i think 3 weeks na fluctuating sakin lalo na sa hapon. sana umayos na to. tawag na ako bukas sa *1888 pramis!!!
hi im from cebu… 1 week old lng ako sa Smartbro pero im already experiencing intermittent to NO connection at all and it happens every DAY!!! i called the hotline tapos sabi nila magpapadala daw sila ng tech people dito sa bahay …a day pass wala paring tech people, i called again sabi nila CONFIRMED na daw ang schedule for the tech people to come…and till this writing la pa ring tech people….POOR SERVICE TALAGA!!!!
oh…and one thing they promised us 384kbps of connection speed but i ONLY get 115kbps and yun ang pinaka fastest na speed na nakuha ko so far…..again POOR SERVICE!!!
if ur planning to have an INTERNET connection…please for the love of GOD, for the love COUNTRY and for the love for YOURSELF…DONT CHOOSE SMARTBRO as your ISP…..MAGSISISI LNG KAYU!!!!!!!… I even PROMISED to myself that after the contract with smart ends i will definitely transfer to another ISP probably to a CABLE internetn ISP. again NEVER subscribe to SMARTBRO magsisisi LNG KAYU!!!!!!!!!!
Hi. There are a lot of reasons why you are getting intermittent connection with your smartbro’s connection. As I have been working with an ISP provided in the US, the main reason why you’re getting this kind of connection is because of the shared bandwidth being broadcasted by the Smart’s server. It means that there are a lot of users in your area.

Yah tma si chel over flooded na ang user ng smartbro haha… Ako year older na smartbro user no choice kse un lng meron dito… Aun experiencing na ako sobrang bagal ng connection mghapon nagiging okei lng pag GABI…. so business ko bagsak 3 pa naman account ko sa knila…
And mapapansin din pag wla POWER as in nakaGENERATOR dun mo na mararanasan un sinasabi nila upto 2mbps na sila… kase abot ako 1.5 MBPS kaso gudluck pag ngkapower na BAGSAK ulet yan…
I told them na If may problem sa base station na pinagkukunan ko ng speed bkit di nila ako ilipat sa ibang base station diba. As simply as like dat kse di naman nila maresolve widin 24 hours haler hehehe….

Un stable naman di puro kayabangan lang hehe…
wew amfufu na talaga smartbro tawag nalng ako ng twag amfufu kakasr na sabi aausin na daw till now ganun padin ayun gani at umaga lang matino wew bagong kabit palang 2
