Misfortunes of Smart Wifi and Smart Bro Customers
Nag decide kami na magsubscribe sa kanila kasi kailangan namin agad nang internet connection for my father’s work.
Nung kinabitan naman nila ako ok naman about 3 days nainstall na at wla pang 2 hours ok na. First impression ko about the speed, medyo ok nun una kasi inakala ko na hindi pa naka optimize ang internet connection ko. During the 1st month, nag rate ako about mga 110-125 kbps speed (that’s less than half of thier claimed 256 KBPS). Nung nag tweak na ako nag rate ako about 120-135 kbps, medyo nag improve.
Pero during this past week, nakakafrustrate na talaga kasi less than 54 kbps na lang ang speed ng connection ko (Minsan less than 24kbps pa and that’s accurate bec. of NETMON software. Sometimes wla pang connection) LESS than DIAL UPS!!! (and my pc is tweaked for maximum internet speeds). Sana naman may mangyaring himala upang ma solusyunan ang problem na to kasi wlang connection ng telephone dito para mag cable DSL ako….

yes i got thesame problem as yours somebody from the smartwife came to our subdivision and offer the smart wifi. they keep on assuring that they have a good and fast connection and service. after they installed the thing i had a good connection for 3 days only and for almost 2 weeks it was really worst. i had thier staff come to my house and fixed the problem i was so dissapointed i even talk to them and asked them to terminate the contract if they cant give a good service so they offer me to give a rebate for the days that i didnt get to used thier service and they had to put the antenna on a high pole to solve the problem. well it really did help i had to used the internet connection and it solve the problem. when it was time for the billing period i was asking for the rebate that they had me sign on they promise me on the next billing date they will processed the rebate adjustment. but as to my dissapointement they just offered a 64.00 rebate for the 15 days that i didnt get to used thier service connection. can you imagine you will have to pay them 988.00 per month and you only used thier service connection for only 13 days and they will offer you a 64.00 pesos rebate.. . Oh this WIFI people .. Do you know that youre taking advantage of youre custumers? Is that how you really do business?
For me the problem is really on their end. They don’t have enough bandwidth to cater to all their subscribers but they never bother to upgrade AND they’re still accepting new subscribers despite of this problem. I only get the speeds that I want at 4 in the morning (about 256+ kbps of their claimed 384kbps connection) (and its not everytime, I sometimes I get less than 100kbps even at that time). After 9am my connection would either be 56kbps or less / 80kbps or less / 130 kbps or less. Its either of the three. I don’t know why but it seems that they’re trying to compensate for their lack of bandwidth by limiting every subscriber’s bandwidth hence the slow connection speeds. I’ve been having these problems since April and there is nothing I can do about it. I call and call their hotline but it seems that my pleas are falling on deaf ears. Is there somebody there who could help resolve this problem? I have a friend who is also located here in Project 4, QC who has the same problem as mine so we know its not on our end.
I guess dissatisfaction is an understatement. I have intermittent connection since last Monday, May 22, 2006 and I have been bugging their customer (dis)service center since then I have spoken to Paul Javier, Ginger, Bang, Shell, and numerous other agents who can’t even feign empathy moreso provide a substantial reply other than, “pasensya na po kayo.”
What can I say? Poor services…in every sense of the word…
tsk tsk tsk….
