I have the same problem. First they missed several appointments, making me stay home all day for nothing. Then they said the wired connection is not available, which I originally requested. They said I need canopy. I asked what that was, and they said they don't know!

Then, the "free installation" cost 600 pesos. How is that free?

Smart also refused to issue BIR. Isn't that required by law?

Now, after almost 2,000 pesos, only 50% or so of the webpages work, and my connection is slower than my Globe Tattoo USB!

I'd ask for a refund if I had a receipt or a contract....

The shit is designed to make them money by inconveniencing us into buying DSL. They even changed the smtp server on DSL Professional without telling anybody about it a week ago... Had to change our smtp outgoing server on all our workstations. Our mail just stop going out on all our computers. DSL UNprofessional. We spent a day working on it when finally the hosting company told us of this change. I am really surprised that telephones even ring here anymore. At least they got that right. But they should learn from that... NOT TO TOUCH THINGS THAT WORK! Scarry people

Now, I got a way around this shit...

Since Google is not using port 25, you can use it as your outgoing mail server

Outgoing: smtp.gmail.com

Check “My outgoing server requires authentication”
Log on Using:
Username: Your Google Account
Password: Your Google Account Password

You have to changed the post to 465
and checked the SSL encryption

SmartBro is blocking port 25 to avoid spam. They only allow the use of port 25 when you use their mail server

I was using SmartBro's e-mail outgoing server on my Microsoft Outlook...

The setting is:
Outgoing: smtp.smartbro.net

Check "My outgoing server requires authentication"
Log on Using:
 Username: your SRN
 Password: your account number

But yesterday, I was having some problem with this setting. Not that I could not connect. But Smartbro has installed "greylisting" in their system.
