   i can’t access 169.254.1.1 too. probably because I set up ignorantly NAT. any ideas how i can reaccess 169.254.1.1?

   have the same situation before.. messed up with the settings and suddenly next reboot and i wont be able to access the canopy interface IP address.. after searching the internet and being frustrated about the experience, I finally come across a solution.. just short the PIN 4 & 6 of the RJ11 socket while booting the canopy.. and you will have a freshly factory restored canopy and able to regain access again with 169.254.1.1

   siguro nagkamali lng ng na-type si jimbo. eh baka naman yung canopy socket mismo? diba dalawa yun? isnag RJ45 socket(8pins) at isang RJ11 socket at 6pins ito?

   siguro na ban ka.yung mga tech ng smartbro lang yung mga expert dun.maganda talaga yung wi fi kaysa sa ano man connection.bagal din sakin eh…1 gb download 2 days non stop…

   madali lng po yan ma access ulit. pasok po kayo sa TCP/IP at ilagay nyo po ito.

   IP ADDRESS 169.254.1.1
   SUBNET MASK 255.255.255.0
   DEFAULT GATEWAY

   yan po ilagay nyo tapos access nyo na po ung smartbro canopy nyo.

   Pagkatpos nyo po ma edit ang canopy nyo ibalik nyo po ulit sa OBTAIN IP ADDRESS ang sa loob ng TCP/IP nyo para bumalik po ang internet nyo.

   NOTE: wag nyo po access ang canopy kung naka ROUTER po kayo hindi nyo po yan ma-access dahil iba po ang IP ADDRESS ng ROUTER. Dapat po naka stand alone po kayo pag access ng canopy. DIRECT connection po pa puntang PC.

    tapos aun, na unblock ko na canopy ko, tarantado kasi ung mga technician nung pinaghiraman ko ng canopy, pinagbintangan ung pinaghiraman ko na inibi niya daw ung mac nung canopy kaya cguro ni lock nila…

    taga manila ung hiniraman ko at taga cavite ako, pano maitratransfer sa base station dito sa cavite ung signal ng canopy ko…

    try this:
    (winXP) control panel>network and internet connections>network connection, then you’ll see smart bro connection (LAN area connection)>right click it then go to properties
    then look for internet protocol, double click it.
    use this ip address: 10.20.30.40
    subnet mask 255.0.0.0 then ok then close.
    then click on start then run type cmd and enter. you’ll have the type arp -a then enter

    you’ll see and internet address starting with 10. copy paste it on your web browser

    BAk8 di po ba ma access ang canopy kung naka enable ung DHCP, kc na enable din sakin, try ako ng try ng step pero di ko ma access….im using win 7 that will expire this march…is it one factor that i was not able to access my canopy..or is it me…hehehehe

    to SIOPAO, hnd po maaccess ang canopy going to router, kailangan u po single PC lng.

    to raffy(bicol), hnd po pwd gamit ng switch hub, need mo pa rin po ng router.

    to SURIGAO, ito po ang pinakamadali na gawin nyo para ma-access nyo po ang canopy of smartbro. lagay mo po ang canopy mo sa isang PC lng para makapasok ka po sa canopy. then kung alam mo po ang ESN number mo na matatagpuan sa likod ng antenna mo. like example 00A0F2F8B5 kunin u po yan then need mo po translate yan sa DEC gamit po kayo ng scietific calculator. para malipat mo po yan sa DEC number. then sa TCP/IP lagay mo po ang IP=10.20.30.40 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 at ang iba po walang lagay. pag tama po ang pagka convert nyong ESN number nyo pwd nyo po ma-access ang canopy nyo. dahil d na po ma-access ang 169.254.1.1 ng smartbro lahat na po ginawa nila 10series dahil niloloko nila ang subscriber nila, limited lng ang tapon nila ng speed.

    hayz.. 169.254.1.1 >>yan ang default canopy address.
    kung binago ng technician ung sa inyu gmitin neo tong method n toh..
    (kung di gumana..chk neo ung proxy setting neo..dpat nka’disable un taz try neo uli)
    pg d prin..try neo toh…

    1. Go to network connections in the control panel
    2. Right click on the local area network
    3. Highlight Internet Protocol and click on properties
    4. Set to Use the Following IP address
    5. Set the IP Address to “10.20.30.40″
    6. Set the Subnet to “255.0.0.0″
    7. Leave the gateway blank
    8. Leave the DNS blank
    9. Apply the changes
    10. Then go to command prompt
    11. Type in the command prompt c:\arp -a
    12. It will show several IP address
    (ung ng’i'start sa 10 ung gmitin neo)
    13. After you get the IP address of your canopy, open your browser (I prefer Mozilla Firefox)
    14. Type the IP address at the address bar to get access to the smartbro admin site.

    TWEAKS
    punta kayo tools>ap evaluation..
    (hanapin neo ung color code n may pnkmbabang jitter at my mtaas n frequency)tandaan neo ung color code. taz punta kau…
    config>radio>(enter neo ung color code,,save and reboot)

    punta kau config>qos>palitan neo ung sustained uplink data rate at sustained downlink data rate ng 500.(pwd din khit anu..basta pag png’add cla equivalent sa 1000).(gusto neo taasan neo ung downlink rate pra mbilis pg download). save and reboot!

    kung gusto neo mbilis na net.. gamit kayo proxy.
    punta kyo sa internet settings ilagay neo sa proxy address
    >> proxy.smartbro.net or 121.1.3.200
    >> port= 8080
    ..tatlo un peo e2 pnkaeffective

    yan.. gusto neo pa mas mbilis?
    tweak neo tcp/ip settings neo sa registry.kso mrami pg tnype q pa kya gmit nlng kao prog. search for TCP/Ip optimizer> download>run>lagay neo sa mximum n alloted sa connection neo..stin n smartbro lagay neo sa 1mbps. taz lagay neo from current to optimal. apply and reboot.

    mganda rin pla Google chrome or mozilla gmit neo. basta kung mozilla yan. i’enable neo ung pipelining. ^^

    i’manually configure neo internet cnnection settings neo. kopyahin neo lang ung assigned by dhcp. sa dns nmn gmit kau open DNS. set neo sa preferred> 208.67.222.222. set neo sa alternate> 208.67.220.220

    I have to try this Canopy. I’m already get fed up by my Smart Bro USb Plug-It. It’s really very slow.Thanks for this post.
