I paid my initial payment for smart bro last October 9 and they installed it 3days later (fast enough huh?). From then on, I enjoyed an average download/upload speed of 300kbps until Saturday, 1130H. The connection suddenly became sluggish. Websites take time on loading or doesn’t load at all, download speeds dropped from 300kbps to 4kpbs-0kbps (that’s kilobits). I just shrugged it off, well I also work as an IT guy and worked on an ISP before so I do understand that network equipments really go down once in a while. So I just didn’t do anything. Sunday came, and still the same problem, that’s the point I called smart support. To my surprise, and first time that I had encountered such phone-in support that I have to wait for as long as 30 minutes (listening to the Beethoven symphony) to be connected to a tech support. Only in Smart huh? Well, anyway, I was able to talk to this girl tech support and she gave my some points to check on my PC, like ping, ip’s etc etc (which I was already doing Saturday night palang). Well ok, its part of their standard procedure of troubleshooting so sige sakyan ko nalang coz I know personally na wala problem ang pc ko sa bahay. The suddenly, the line was cut. Oh well I have to get through that agony of listening to the same tune again while on hold waiting for a tech support. The second time I was able to talk to a tech support, he was a guy. His name is Rafel Baytiong.
As usual, he wants me to go through their battery of test so I told him im done with it already. So he put me on hold and said he will check my connectivity as well as the cel site I am connected to.
This is what he said: “Sir, nacheck na po namin, ok naman daw po lahat.
What? So you are saying na pc ko may problema? Excuse me, I know if something’s wrong with my pc or not. Speed dropping from 300kbps to 4-0kbps is no problem? We had a long time arguing on the phone and I finally gave up. Its no use. Up to now, my connection is still sluggish. No actions at all and I am very unsatisfied with the service of smart bro(ken) Only in Smart. I want to cut my subscription already if the problem cant be resolved and I will NOT PAY anything. I’ve heard a lot from peoples who experienced the same problems with Smart Bro(ken). I should have listened to them before I acquired your service.

Taga Laguna rin kami. Sa Binan. Talagang bumal din yung connection noong sabado. Kasing bilis na lang ngayon ng kuhol, as in mas mabilis pa ang pagong. Yung ip ad, kapag pining mo, rto lahat. kapag nag run ka ng diagnostic test, iyon ang FAILED. Ano kaya ang ginawa ni Smart Broken? Wala ring maitutulong ang tech support nila. Sanabagan, kahit nag tape na lang sila ng instructions imbes na yung hinayupak na tugtog ang pinaparinig, e di mas mabilis. Pare-pareho naman kasi ang sagot nila. ip config, ping, turn on, turn off, refer namin sa next level, at THANK YOU FOR WAITING ang alam nilang sabihin. SANABAGAN!!!!

Hi there guys!!Im also from Laguna, specifically Cabuyao, experiencing the same problem. Since saturday Oct. 21, 2006 my connection became sluggish..I check everything concerning my network and ala nmng problem. i never tried to call their filhty hotline because it only brings headache.. Nakakaasar n nga kc hanggang ngaun..one week had passed ganun p rin. my signal is quite strong.. i do reset my connection from their site.. but still alang epekto. ano b kc ngyari? my business here is starting to fall since then..please find solution bout this..as soon as possible.. i undrstand that devices became low sometimes..but not for almost a week.. maus nmn ang propagation ng datas ah..?but how come it bestows unfavorable results?..fix this as soon as possible.
Another thing..please update new po me if ders a change ns in ur connection.. if there is an improvement for good..so that i know if i should complain..which is the best thing to do

Ako buong august zero connection. september hmnn…kung susumahin lahat ng tig-five to ten second na connected ako sa buong buwan makabubuo ng mga 10 minutes lahat. Ngayong October? 3 weeks na disconnected pa rin at pustahan makakabuo na naman ako ng another buwan na zero…
Hay, tagal ko nang sumuko sa SMARTBROKEN! Nung una tyag ako sa katatawag, kahit kelangan mag-antay ng mga isang oras sa linya sa tunog ng basag na symphony orchestra. Saka lang ako titigil pag naubos na battery ng celfon ko. hay grabe kaka-frustrate talaga. Sarap mag-amok!
Then naisip ko lugi na nga ako ng P998 a month aba! magkakasakit pa ako sa puso! so mula nun pasipol-sipol na lang kahit non-existent na yung service ng SMARTBROKEN. Pero super advance sa collection ng BILL. Biro nyo October 2 ko narecieve ang BILL for the period of Oct. 5 - Nov.5… sobra 1 month advance sa BILL say nyo?
Hay… buti malapit na Pebrero, end ng lock-in period… parang independence day na inaasam hehehe.

Tsk tsk tsk……. Bakit ba hinde ko nabasa itong mga to?
Im from Binan den po dun sa me HALANG.. naginstall ng SmartBro samen nung Sunday and 2.1Kbps ung dl speed ko accdg sa download window ng Firefox nung dinownload ko ung superdat ng mcaffee. Sabe ng technician na nagkabait baka me prob daw ung base station sa HALANG hayyyy.. tinanong ko pa nmn cla kung wala ng epekto ung milenyo ngayon sa smart and sabe nila wala na daw. Download ko den ung YM installer na 400KB lumagpas ng 1hr.. pano nakalagay 1KBps na ung dl speed ko huhuhuh. Sa torrent lagpas 8 hrs ung dl ko nung 348Mb na file.
Tumawag ako sa Smart and pinagdownload ako ng NetStat Live. Gnamet ko sya last nyt and sabe dun average incoming speed ko is 45kilobits/sec. Antay daw ako ng 3 days maaayos den daw un. Hayyyy…
Meron ba senyong kumokonek din dito sa me halang na base station? Talaga bang ganto ang dl speed? Sabe ko nga sa Smart wala ako prob sa surfing e.. ung download ko ang me problema… Help nmn please! Baka me alam kayong pwede ko itweak.
