Misfortunes of Smart Wifi and Smart Bro Customers
I am one of the thousand victims of SmartBro.
At first I was a happy customer dahil mabilis nilang naikabait ang connection ko but after a month, nagsimula ang problema ko. Mabagal na ang internet connection and worse, madalas wala pa basta umulan.
I was really upset and disappointed. I tried calling their hotline pero di naman ma reach.
Active ba talaga ang hotline nila or papogi lang??? Then because of disappointment, I planned not to pay the first month bill dahil may advance naman ako sa kanila na first month, right and besides wala pang dumarating na bill samin?
Actually 1500 nga ang binayaran ko at gusto ko ng pa disconnect, until I went to their wireless center and found out na may lock in period pala. So I need to pay for pre-termination fee. Why would I pay for such amount na hindi ko naman nagamit ang service?
Then after 3 months of not using their service dahil madalang namn ako umuwi samin at sira ang PC ko, at dahil wala naman gumagamit, I decided not to get it repaired.
Until one day, may dumating na letter coming form their lawyers demanding me to pay for 11,000+. Ano sila sira?? Bakit ko babayaran yun?? Tumawag ako sa number na nakalagay sa letter, yung nakausap ko sinabi na kaya lumobo ng ganun ung bill ay dahil sa pre-termination, interest at lawyers fee.
Whhhaaaatttt??? Hindi ako kumuha ng service ng abogado na yun kaya manigas sila. Never ko babayaran ang sinasabi nilang amount.
Then I received another letter stating na pag di ako nag comply with their said period ay i-she-sheriff daw nila ang bahay namin. Then do it and I will file for harassment. Grabe manakot ang Smart. Kung gusto nyong wag kayo iwanan ng mga customers nyo, then serve us the right service we deserve..
Be smart guys!! Subscribing and believing in your scam is the biggest mistake I’ve done..

wala pang nangyayari sa complain ko… Lam mo ba after two weeks na narecieve ko ung last lawyer’s letter nila saka palang dumating ung 3 bills for three consecutive months.. stapled pa… bakit ganun? nauna pa ang demand letter dumating bago ang bill. ung demand letter with the 1st ever bill I recieved (August bill) amounting 11,000+ was dated Aug. 10 pero Aug. 29 ko na recieve. then ung 3 bills for the month of May, June and July, Sept. 17 ko na narecieve… Bakit ganon?
So far.. wla pang nangyayari at hindi pa rin ako nagbabayad.. btw.. putol na ung connection ko 2 months ago pa.. Grabe talaga!!!

1. Di ka nila pwedeng ipa-sheriff or ipa-barangay. It will only happen if you have committed a crime like murder, carnapping etc etc. Nonpayment may be classified as a civil case. Neither can they “confiscate” any of your properties. Should they insist with their “act” of playing sheriff, wag mo silang papasukin sa bahay niyo. Turn on your camera phone and video them if you have the capability
Ask for proper documents (ID, authorization from Smart to act in their behalf, court papers etc etc). Remind them also that they can be jailed for misrepresentation and faking public documents. Once they give you their papers (i doubt they will) check it out with the appropriate authorities. You can also tell them that you will only deal with authorized SMART employees and not people you have just met and appeared at your front gate. Maniwala ka sakin, mabilis pa sa alas kwatro tatakbo yang mga yan, lalo na pag vinideo mo na sila
2. Let SMART sue you. They wont go through it kasi mas malaki pa ang gagastusin nila sa process. Remind them also that you can counter sue them under the Department of Trade and Industry’s regulations regarding false advertising (you can add harassment, psychological trauma, libel etc etc). Its a fact that they have advertised and trumpeted a speed of 384 kbps in their nationwide ad campaigns. Most of us SMART subscribers are lucky to have half that speed. Remember the key word ” False and Misleading Advertisements”
Most importantly, you have to remain calm at all times. Dont let these idiots intimidate you. Collection Agencies only earn if you transact and make the payment through them. Deadmahin mo sila and transact directly with Smart centers
Kahit magiinarte sila dyan sa harapan ng bahay niyo at maglupasay, wala silang magagawa. Remember to properly document everything in your dealings with Smart (who you talked to, when, what time etc etc). And don’t forget your most powerful weapon, you cam/video phone

hello evryone! kung may satisfied man sa service ng smartbro then lucky for them… but for others who are experiencing such dilemma, I’ve got an update for you guys regarding my demand letter..
smart’s affiliated law firm send me another letter telling me that they gonna sue me dahil nagtatago ako.. hello!!!! I’m here!! di ako nagtatago or whatsoever… Pumupunta pa nga ako sa smart wireless to follow up for my complain so why would they accused me for deliquency? Do I deserve to pay for their service and do they deserve to be paid for?
They told me that they would publish my name on newpapers like manila bulletin, philippine star etc.
On Monday I will post it.. word by word… So you can see how they threatened their subscribers for not paying for an unsatisfied service.
Hi Ryza! here are a few things you should do and think about right now:
1. They cannot say that your “hiding” because you’ve recieved their demand letter and you have been going to Smart Wireless centers. I believe that those are generic letters and you should just ignore them.
2. If they are threatening to publish your name in Major Dailies, think about this - Have you ever seen names published there because of nonpayment issues?
Now tell them to GO AHEAD! Smile! Because if they do that, you can countersue them for Libel and Defamation of Character (I think thats what its called) and I guarantee a 200% court win for you
Just remember to save some of those aforementioned newspaper issues to use as evidence in court.
Let Smart sue you like I said. They will not dare because of the bad PR theyll be getting. Realize that they DO NOT want the bad PR coming from their lousy service and product

i read one of the comment above that he/she notice that his/her sector use count: is 45 to 51.
my question is how could i know my sector user count? because before i could play online games so smooth not until may my connection get worst i get so lag in my game.

joeboxer, assuming you have a “Motorola Canopy SM” you can check your sector user count by typing in your browser “http://169.254.1.1″ without the quotes, you’ll enter the CANOPY page, first you’ll need to find out what is the COLOR CODE of your Base Station, on the left side click on CONFIGURATION >>> then click on the RADIO tab, under that you’ll see your COLOR CODE (Remember that number), then on the left menu click on TOOLS >>> then the AP EVALUATION tab, you’ll see the AP List page, this can be confusing, from here find the COLOR CODE you saw earlier in the RADIO page and you’ll see the “SectorUserCount: xx” the xx is your current number of users online.
Note: You can Rescan your AP List by scrolling down, click on the “ReScan APs” button, wait for a few seconds to update.

eh kung citibank nga utang ko about 200K na di nabayaran hanggang demand letters lang sila, ano pa kaya 11T lang yung kay ryza.. alam nyo trabaho talaga ng mga collecting agencies manakot para magbayad kayo kasi dun lang naman sila kumikita. wala pa akong narinig na nakulong sa utang unless you issued bouncing checks which can lead you to estafa or perjury. besides, you have evidences na palpak talaga ang serbisyo ng smart. kaya ako everytime may downtime kinukunan ko agad ng screenshots para i-present ko as evidence incase smart takes me to court. so kung may mga demand letters kayo.. IGNORE! kasi in the first place lokohan lang naman talaga to eh.. 6 months na ako sa smartbro, first 4 months of service is smooth until the naging intermittent na sila then worse im gettin “destination host unrechable”. i called up *1888 ofcourse service report number lang binigay saken. no action has been made. i’m determined not to pay my bills anymore.. fuck the one year lock-in period! by all means stop paying your bills once you’re no longer satisfied with their service. belive me, its just bluff just like playin poker..

tinawagan ko na cla last july…nagrequest ako na putulin na connection ko kc parang wala din naman eh..muka lang akong eng eng…..tas pag mag oopen ng site either page cannot be displayed so para anu pa at nag subscribe ako sa kanila…so yun i requested na idisconnect within 2 days…kinuha ko name ng CSR kahit floor name pa binigay nya wapakels…til now nakaka connect pa rin ako (yun nga lang 79 years bago ka makaopen ng site)..meaning di nila ginawa yung request ko…so bahala cla…tambakan nila ako ng demand letter habambuhay
Ignore those collecting agents as long as you have a clean conscience. Trabaho talaga nilang mangharass, magkksala ka lng pag pinatulan.
