I was a Smart Wifi subscriber for the last 20 months. downloading was reasonably fast. Now that I have upgraded my internet connection to SmartBro I am currently experiencing a very poor downloading about 10 kbps. Before about 40 kbps. I would like to know what is canopy color code?

i think everyone is experiencing this not just me or my neighbor or my favorite cafe

i am paying a 999plan but only to get a fcking crappy internet from 8am-11pm

and only from 11pm-8am is the smoothed time, and am i being lured or forced to use my

internet at such resting hours????!!!! dang!!! i think i am subscribing to you “smart”

people only to kill my self

good thing globe broadband has already settled their base in our town

to those who are reading..subscribe now!!! SMARTBRO guarantee you high bills with JUNK internet service which made you think of them worthy of being kicked hard, throw axe to their forehead, guillotined, fill their buttholes with a guitar fretboard..etc..etc

First Day Die

Good day to anyone who’s reading this;

I just recently subscribed to Smart Bro, so recently in fact, that they just came here yesterday. When they installed the antenna and I was minding my own business in the background, I could see that the technician had enough net speed to do what he wanted.. I was satisfied, after all: I’ve always wanted to have broadband connection. A couple of hours pass, with my DL/UL speed reaching to about 111kbps.. I noted that it was quite slow, but as long as it could come to par with dial-up I was happy. I don’t complain much, after all. Then came the bomb. The connection began cutting itself: every other minute, the server wouldn’t respond.. meaning I’d have about a minute of lag everytime I surfed. Imagine downloading an MP3, a minute into the download, the server stops… takes another minute and then it goes up again… sadly a file can’t wait for a minute… so I have to try and download again. Bam. Server goes down again. This continues for the entire morning. I notice that my down speed and my up speed is getting slower too… being reduced to 3 to 11kbps. I tried calling the *1888 and they told me that it would pass in 24 hours.

*sigh*

I really don’t know what to do but wait, after all… It IS just my first day on this connection.

Don’t pay your next bill!

As subscriber, we must have documents signed prior to application of smartbro. sa tingin ko naman wala, meron ba sa inyo?

Di ba kayo nagtataka Smart Gold subscriber– they filter the applicants. baki kaya dito sa smartbro, hindi. basta process ka lang don sa cashier, wait for 2-3 days to have your internet connection.

I am one of the thousand victims of SmartBro.

At first I was a happy customer dahil mabilis nilang naikabait ang connection ko but after a month, nagsimula ang problema ko. Mabagal na ang internet connection and worse, madalas wala pa basta umulan.

I was really upset and disappointed. I tried calling their hotline pero di naman ma reach.

Active ba talaga ang hotline nila or papogi lang??? Then because of disappointment, I planned not to pay the first month bill dahil may advance naman ako sa kanila na first month, right and besides wala pang dumarating na bill samin?

Actually 1500 nga ang binayaran ko at gusto ko ng pa disconnect, until I went to their wireless center and found out na may lock in period pala. So I need to pay for pre-termination fee. Why would I pay for such amount na hindi ko naman nagamit ang service?

Then after 3 months of not using their service dahil madalang namn ako umuwi samin at sira ang PC ko, at dahil wala naman gumagamit, I decided not to get it repaired.

Until one day, may dumating na letter coming form their lawyers demanding me to pay for 11,000+. Ano sila sira?? Bakit ko babayaran yun?? Tumawag ako sa number na nakalagay sa letter, yung nakausap ko sinabi na kaya lumobo ng ganun ung bill ay dahil sa pre-termination, interest at lawyers fee.

Whhhaaaatttt??? Hindi ako kumuha ng service ng abogado na yun kaya manigas sila. Never ko babayaran ang sinasabi nilang amount.

Then I received another letter stating na pag di ako nag comply with their said period ay i-she-sheriff daw nila ang bahay namin. Then do it and I will file for harassment. Grabe manakot ang Smart. Kung gusto nyong wag kayo iwanan ng mga customers nyo, then serve us the right service we deserve..

Be smart guys!! Subscribing and believing in your scam is the biggest mistake I’ve done..

Stronghold Legends

I have always been a game geek, and to serve my hunger for on-line gaming specifically stronghold legends by firefly studios, i decided to subscribe to Smart Bro.

I was able to play it from December 2006 til jan 30th 2007. but then the problem started when the game couldn’t connect to the internet in feb 2007. they (Smart Bro) had transfered me to another base station, replaced the antenna but my connection still could not live up to it’s purpose (on-line gaming) and what’s worse, I’m locked down to one year period so I could not transfer to other service providers. please, anyone give me an advice. I feel like I’m wasting my time and money on this crappy connection.

SmartBro SlowSpeed internet

I’m from Lubao, Pampanga. 2 months subscriber. The smartBro base station is about 4-5 kilometer from my location. I also experienced that long wait on *1888 CSRs but I still tried as many times as I could (desperately) because I lost my internet connection. SmartBro technicians just came yesterday to replace my antennae and fix my connection. They said my antennae is already weak. (2 months after installation?????) but I didn’t say a word…they got my connection back and tested it..showing me a smartbro QuikFix result of 271 kbps..that was past 3:00 PM…when I tried to play Rakion at maybe around 6:00 PM, I can’t get in to most of the games, I always get a message saying my connection is too slow… I only got in to 2 of them….maybe they are also using the same SlowSpeed Internet connection(SmartBro)…I searched for a connection speed test and found myspeedtest.com. I got worst 7.3kbps and best 199kbps result this morning…

Suing Smart

Hi to all,

I need legal advice: my contract with Smart has expired already and while the connection was sustained a few more months after that, I stopped getting my bills. The connection was also cut afterwards. So I sort of just let it go at that, and thought they’ll notify me anyway if I have anything outstanding–that is something (perhaps the only thing) they’re very good at. Just a week ago, I received a notification from Smart saying I have an outstanding balance which I must pay immediately or they will have to forward this to a collection agency. The letter was dated a month ago! With it comes a letter from the collection agency (dated about a week or so after the notification) which I also should have received three weeks ago, saying that I will be sued if I don’t settle my outstanding payment plus the interest and collection fee they’re charging. Now I’m asking Smart to waive the collection fee for obvious reasons, but they said they can’t. This is really too much, I think. I’ve already been saddled with a crappy service for over a year, I never got full reimbursement for the time I didn’t have connection, now I’m being penalized for “refusing to pay” when I didn’t even know I was getting billed, and I didn’t even receive their mail in time for me to act! Can somebody let me know what are my chances if I decide to sue smart? I just really can’t believe the audacity of the network. The collection fee is just 2,500 (which I’ve held out on paying) but I’ve already paid for my outstanding balance. So this is just a matter of principle, really. And I just really have had it with Smart.

Smart Bro-ke back mountain

It’s my first time to see this site…well i was surprised to find people sharing the same problems like me with the smart unsatisfying broadband service! I just got connected last august 19, and damn nobody told me it’s gonna be hard as hell using smart-broadband here in the mountains of Baguio city! my speed is in an amazing range of 30-60 kbps,if its foggy or raining…good-luck if you could find a signal they say. If I’m lucky at least I’m reaching 125kbps.

I’ve been complaining thru their offices here and manila, they’ve sent their best field techs here,even they can’t explain to me when they saw my speed and said it’s not accurate,my anti-virus is making it slow or the tower( has temporary problems,needs a reset)excuses that is!. They cannot change the direction of my antenna because their other two options is either far or being covered by another mountain. They can’t do anything about it,I’m trying to cancel my subscription but it looks like they’re gonna give me a hard time…they’re calling me 3 to 4 times a day asking the same stupid questions. Does anyone here able to cancel their subscription successfully? Please enlighten me…..how long will this take? I got more furious when i got my first bill!!!

It’s been two weeks of irritating, blood pressure raising service and this is what i get.
