Worry no more guys, Rep. Way Kurat is on your side, he also is a Smart Wifi subscriber that has been having headaches with his internet connection since it was installed and it’s frequent basestation technical activities. his employee called the hotline to inquire how to terminate their subscription and he was shocked to be informed that they are required to pay the pretermination fee even that his internet connection only gave him headaches. so instead of arguing with a CSR/TSR, he made a bill and raised it to the congress to make an investigation about this matter since he was also informed that the number of complaints the NTC is receiving is very alarming..

Payo ko sayo itawag mo na ulit yan sa tech.support nila then tell the truth kung bakit down ka for several weeks na pero don’t expect na pwede ka magfile ng rebate kasi its your fault din naman kaya lumala yang problem mo.ang maganda dun,mavivisit ka na at maaayos na yan.iba yung ip address na sinasabi ng agent sayo kumpara dun sa binago mo.i hope maayos na yan.

salamat.hindi ko kasi alam kung ano sasabihin ko.magdedepende yan kung ano ang itatanong na problema.medyo nasanay na rin kasi ako sa ibat ibang klase ng problem with smart wifi na smart bro na daw ngayon kaya yung ibang tanong eh nasasagot ko.basta sasagot ako sa mga tanong o problema base sa nalalaman ko at hindi haka haka lang at walang katuturan.

my complain is smartwifi’s technical support. they don’t know what they’re doing. imagine ipapakausap sayo trainee naririnig mo pa yong nagtuturo sa background. napakaunethical talaga. eversince nagsubscribe kami smartwifi never kaming nagkasend ng email using our outlook express or even microsoft outlook. ilang bese ko na din tinawagan ang tech support nila walang alam isagot kundi “we’re sorry about that ma’am”, yon lang tapos sasabihin sayo maytatawag para ayusin yong problem pero wala mamumuti ang mata mo sa kakaintay. and then recently itong april lang inupgrade nila ang antena namin to canopy para daw mas reliable ang connection, pero kabaliktaran kasi mula ng pinalitan nila on and off na ang connection namin. biro magsesurf ka tapos bigla na lang mawawala ang connection. sino kaya ang hindi maiinis noon. kaya nga isang kapitbahay namin pincut na nya ang subscription niya with wifi. kung meron lang globe broadband sa lugar namin papalitan ko na ang smartwifi ko kasi ang technical support nila hindi smart.
wala akong connection for 2 days now, for the past 2 months ok ung connection ko around 300kbps, then suddenly mawawala! as in totally wla! even google di ma open, ryt now suddenly bumalik sa dati, wats going on?! pro thank god na rin, and whats up with this smart bro?! i mean sa mga subscriber ng 988 for 256 kbps, 11 pesos na lang mgging 7 times the speed of dial up na, that would be around 390kbps, 11 pesos for additional almost 150kbps?? and i called up asking kung pwede mag upgrade, they told me na kelangan ma kumpleto ung lock in period?! lugi nman tayo nun! bullshit un di ba>?

Hello. Is Smart’s service really that bad? I’m thinking of getting Smart Bro because it’s been a month since I’ve applied for PLDT’s MyDSL and they still haven’t hooked me up, may tech stuff daw na di pa nila maayos. Smart Bro is way much cheaper than DSL so I’m weighing my options. Wala bang subscriber na may magandang masasabi sa Smart Bro/Wifi? I wonder, is it safe to say that 9 out of 10 customer is not satisfied with Smart’s service?
in my case ok ang connection ko except for that 2 days na totally wla me connection, im pretty sure maraming nde satisfied sa smart wifi, n cgurado rin ako na somehow mas maganda smart bro kesa wifi, so swerte kayong mga new subscriber, sana lang ayusin muna problema sa min

Nagbabayad pa naman kami ng maayos kaya maayos din ang service niyo sa amin. Wala din contact number sa higher technical team..paano sila ma contact?through tech support?yong sa basic troubleshooting?c’mon…..pati sila walang authority kundi mag forward lang sa complaints namin..

i suggest pagalitan ny o ung smart, ako khit 2 days lang na wla me connection, tlgang kinukulit ko sila, wag kayo papalugi sa knila, eto pakulo nila na smart bro, kakalimutan na ung smart wifi, pra lang mas marami mag subscribe sa knila, smart wifi shit tlga

i believe it doesn’t matter if it’s smart bro or smart wifi. this may just be smart’s way of changing their image so that new customers will be enticed to subscribe. the old name smart wifi was so notorious. for old smart wifi subscribers i was informed that we still have to pay 988, not the 999 that smart bro subscribers have to pay.
Nanloloko sila sa mga PROMO nila sabi nila sa plan 688 the will be twice of the dial up speed but the speed only reaches 27 kbps and sa 988 is more than 150 kbps but i am only having less than 10 kbps. I thought my comp. has a virus so i’ve formatted it pero it turn out na same speed pa rin ang nakukuha ko. is this my fault to pay 988 every month or they are just fooling people to acquire more money. Is smart philippines going down?
Sus pareho lang yan ang smart wifi at smart bro, alam nyo ang iba dyan ang spelling lang!!! In terms of connection pareho lang yan,di nyo ba na notice na plan 988 tayo so 384 kbps lang ang package natin,my question is bakit lumalampas sa 384kbps ang speed ko minsan naging 455 kbps,ang masasabi ko lang pareho lang ang smart wifi at smart bro,ang advantages sa wireless connection ay kapag malapit ka sa cell site at meron kang line of sight maganda connection mu nun,disadvantages naman ay kapag maraming nakaharang sa line of sight e2 na minsan walang connection,minsan mabilis minsan mahina connection kung pwede walang connection,sobrang cheap kasi equips nila,di nyo ba nakita cell site nila ang baba,sana taasan nila cell site nila at palakasin or upgrade…

pag nag da-download sa download accelerator, di ba may graph yung ng speed ng download? bali ang nagyayari… pag nagstart na yung download… ang speed eh something like 113 kiloBYTES per second (that right hindi BITS, but BYTES) tas unti-unting bumabagal hanggang maging +20Kilobytes per sec na lang?

Meron na kasing nagpunta d2 sa amin kanina na mga technician at sabi nila bakit ka kinabitan na hindi ka naman pumasa sa usapan na meron kang LINE OF SIGHT,omg yan nga problem ko bakit ako kinabitan nila sa previous na mga technician na iyun,so confirmed sa mga technician na nagpunta sa amin kanina na pa disconnect ko daw at confirmed ko sa manila,na confirmed ko na sa manila,ang kulang ko ay magpunta sa smart wireless center sa amin para ma putol na….
Sana ma balik 1988 php ko kasi useless ang ginawa nila…

im using, falshget, getright, n ung download manager ng mozilla, gnun tlga pag start ng download super bilis, nsa 80kBps, then nag sesettle sya sa 40kBps, gnun tlga pag cmula mabilis, pro after a while lalabas din ung pinaka speed mo

I just got my wifi connection on April 10, it worked for two days and after that I have to continue calling for tech support because my connection is not working.
Technical support just gives me the same line and was promised to have a higher technician to phone me within 24 hours. What do I get nothing.
I am using my old vibe connection to type this complaint. I want to get out of the contract but it is ridiculous that I have to pay a termination fee to get out of the contract that goods were not delivered. One sided yata.
joji , may I suggest you go to nearest SMART Wifi center and demand they fix your service , otherwise, get out of the contract and don’t pay any fee..they are not giving you their side of the contract so it is good as invalid contract…talk to the manager and demand for better service or get your money back!

naka-lockin tyo ng 1 year sa kanila kung hindi mo natapos yung 1 year babayaran mo yung mga months na hindi mo natapos.
ex.subscribe ka ng jan.1,2005-jan.1,2006…nagpaterminate ka ng march 1,2005..yung 10 months mar1-jan1,2006 eh babayaran mo yun.
10months * 988(or 788)pesos=9,880.00>ang babayaran mo.kaya kung medyo matagal ka ng subscriber mas maliit ang ptf(pre term.fee).
pwede rin naman mawaive yan depende kung valid ang pagpapaterminate mo.
ex.madalas nalang meron problema sa smart network tapos hindi ka naaasikaso agad ng smart.so yung concern mo eh hindi agad nagagawan ng solusyon.kelangan nilang mareview ito at kung talagang valid,waive na ang ptf mo….wala ka ng babayaran.pero kung nagpapawaive ka tapos wala ka naman itinawag na technical concern sa kanila o walang record na meron ka problema,wala silang basehan para maiwaive yun….

smart wifi is the same with smart bro.nagbago lang ng name.pakibasa nalang yung kanilang news.Sa aking pagkakaalam,ginagawa ng smart ang lahat ng pwedeng gawin para maayos ang kanilang network.meron ako nabasa na yung terminal nila ngayon eh naka 10gig na(dati megabits lang).isipin nyo na nationwide ang ginagawang roll out ng smart at ang kanilang upgrades kaya dapat tiis lang tayo muna.meron sa atin dito na dati madalas maka experience ng problem o madalas mabagal pero ngayon eh okay na so sayang naman kung hindi tayo makakapaghintay.dun sa mga gusto ng magpaterminate its your choice.kayo naman nagbabayad nyan eh.sana lang maging masaya na kayo sa lilipatan nyo bagong isp….

Siguro di lang namin masyado pansin dahil di naman kami babad sa internet araw araw usually gabi lang at weekends…pero kung naka 24/7 ka, mabwisit ka nga sa ganitong service ng wireless…

Mag log kayo ng mag log ng Service Case or Problem Case, kunin nyo yung ticket number ng call at details like anong date, time at sino nag receive ng calls..dyan mag base ang SMART na madami nga kayong problema na di nila ma solve so pag check nila ng records nila, may dahilan ka na na ipa waive ang termination fee dahil sa pangit na service…
Kase kung wala sa records nila, di sila papayag ng walang termination fee…kaya sige mga kapatid, mga log ng mag log ng calls!!! Makikita rin ito ng mga bossing ng SMART pag review nila ng Daily or Monthly calls at mapapansin nila na may problema nga… Yang mga corporate bossing kase, sa mga chart at report lang yan nakatingin, kung wala silang makitang problema sa report at data na bigay sa kanila, walang action ang mga complaints natin…Don’t forget to get the Ticket number! ciao!

ang CSR ata pang diagnose lang, ung engineer nila mejo maasahan pa pero CSR wlang alam mga yan, bad3p, 3 days ko naexperience yang wlang reply from DSN server, 100 percent din, buti ngyon mejo nag ok na, sna lang tuloy2 na,

I have been a subscriber to Smart WIFI since February, and I have not experienced a single session online na hindi nauwi sa disconnection. Biruin mo, mag be beinte minutos pa lang, kasing bagal ng pagong na pilay and pag surf ko. I have had much better service with Surfshop - kahit na hindi broadband, palaging maasahan.

Kung sa tingin po ninyo na meron problem yung DNS ng smart(Request Timed Out)at hindi na kayo makapag-internet,ang dapat gawin nyo ay mag-ping ng kahit anong sites na gusto nyo puntahan(I-Browse).

kunin nyo yung ip(68.142.197.85)at ilagay nyo sa inyong browser instead of http://www.yahoo.com.once na nabrowse mo yung site/s using IP,makakapasok kana rin sa ibang icon ng yahoo(mail,music etc.)kasi frontopage ng yahoo ang pinasok mo.Kung meron problema ang DNS dapat makakabrowse ka sa yahoo.com.Kung hindi makapagbrowse using IP,hindi DNS ang problem mo.
Kung sakali po magwork yung browsing ng IP,pakireport nalang po agad sa kanila para magawan agad ng action.

in my case kc pag wlang reply from dns server, khit anong website di ko mpasok, even limewire di mka konek, so wla tlgang signal, although ok ung sa 10.0.0.1

TTL–time to leave exceeded ata yan…ibig sabihin yung server o site na piniping mo is down.Kung DNS nila nag TTL at ok ang 10.0.0.1 ip address possible problem nun ay coming from their network.either down yun access point(ap-katapat ng antenna mo) o yung BTS(cell site-kung saan ka nakatutok).call ka nalang sa CSR nila to verify kung meron ba talaga downtime.

un nga po ung problem sa kin, wla ung DNS, ok ung 10.0.0.1, pero pag tumawag ka sa CSR wla nman daw technical activity, mas gugustuhin ko pang mrnig na my downtime, at least alam na my problema, o my enhancement silang gngawa, pag gnun kc antay kana lang o mag dasal kana lang na sana maibalik ung connection asap. di nman nila ma explain kung bkit wlang connection, so as usual observe na lang ulet..

@tulits, yang bang 10.1 na IP ay nasaan? sa SMART tower nearest you? SMART central office or local sa SMART system mo (antenna, switch box etc?) gusto ko lang maintindihan na kung na ping mo 10.1 ay nakalabas ka na ng antenna mo or hindi pa..

Wireless ip yan(10.0.0.1)ng equipment mo(antenna).pag na ping mo yan hindi ibig sabihin makakapag-internet kana.kelangan mo parin makakuha ng dhcp ip na 192.168.232.x series pra makapag internet ka.yan kasi yung allowed ip’s nila for internet.meron pagkakataon sa akin na napiping ko yung ip na 10 series at 192 series pero wala ako internet.ang problem pala ay down ang bts o ap nila pero kung naping mo yan(10 series)at ok ang network nila magrenew ka ng dhcp ip at paredirect ka sa portal nila.marami pasiko sikot na troubleshooting sila ginagawa.halos kabisado ko na nga yung iba eh.hindi na nga ako tumatawag sa kanila kung may problem ako kasi maaasar ka lang eh.in fairness sa support nila,sabi nagcoconduct daw sila ng intensive training para maimprove customer/tech.skills nila.harinawa!!!!

Is it bad to say that I’m relieved I’m not the only with problems? I guess it is *___*. My bad.
I only pray that Rep. Zamora and other people in position will be able to do something about this problem. All I ask is that they ensure consistent connections instead of consistent customer anxiety attacks.
Kudos to the group who has put up this website! Thank you for allowing our voices to be heard.
when meridian telekoms people came over to our place to offer free installation and a month’s free internet connection, the family was certainly happy. at first, we enjoyed speedy connection, and polite and immediate responses whenever there were glitzes. we were advised that payment for any week of problematic service was applied to the succeeding week. by august ‘05, however, our woes began. not only were services continually interrupted, calls to tech support were a waste of time (it took so long to get a response; most of the time no customer care, nor tech support could address problems). i was made to pay the installation service promised free by meridian; pay the supposed discount for the first month, another incentive from meridiam. with the takeover of smart, it seemed that the services (or lack of these) had become so lousy .
i kept paying the fees just so we would have the promised unlimited service. instead,we got only half a month of service, really slow service to boot, in august; one-fourth month in september, and almost none in october, and none at all in november. i was paying religiously, complaining every day and night, but all i got was, “sorry,miss adelaida…” all those nights that we had to go to internet cafes just so my children could submit their time-locked machine problems, my futile attempts to do my distance teaching online for u.p. open university were just exasperating. i was ready to sue the company, but in december someone came to replace the equipment in our place. we had connections in the second week, but much slower than before.
i wanted to pull out, only to be told that i was locked in with smart wi-fi (smart, huh!) until april!
it’s the end of april, and am about to switch provider.. or should i give smart bro a chance?
perhaps a month.. because i can’t jeopardize my children’s performance and my work this coming schoolyear. unless smart bro shapes up, i might have to turn to bayantel dsl.

i empathize with you ma’am. if i had a choice of providers in my area i’d have shifted a long time ago. i have no other option but this lousy service so i guess i’m stuck. anyway, i think you’d be better off with bayantel or globelines broadband. the thing is apply first and make sure that they hook you up before you terminate your smart subscription. there is a chance that there are no available ports in your area and if you cut your smart wifi before becoming sure of its (bayantel et al) availability then that would be a big problem. a day without internet really sucks, right? goodluck!

I had no connection from april 12 up to 20… then naayos nila. On April 22, nacra nanaman. Naayos on april 26… and since then, i am having slow n intermitent connections! Satisfied lang po ako sa smart wifi/smart bro internet service.Tulad nyo,naranasan ko rin yung mabwisit sa smart service lalo na dun sa mga CSR/TSR nila.medyo matagal na rin kasi ako subs nila since nung nagstart palang sila thru meridian service(maayos ang Technical nila before kumpara sa ngayon).
MY CONNECTION IS VERY UNRELIABLE!!! It goes on and off ever since this was installed on April 1. Its speed is way too low to be called broadband. Before, I was very excited to have a wifi internet connection because of its features. Now? I want to terminate it if only they won’t obliged me to pay a one year subscription . nagpunta ako sa sm marilao smart wireless center para mag-apply ng smart wifi, sobrang mahal kasi ng digitel dsl dito, at ayaw ko na kasing mag-aksaya ng pera sa digitel dahil pangit din ang serbisyo nila sa telepono. anyways, ang sabi sa akin ay 1 week bago ako makabitan dahil sa dami ng mga bagong subscriber na naunang nag-apply sa akin. fine, naintindihan ko iyon. ang kaso, hindi ako pwede doon sa pinatakang araw ng supposed 1 week installation period. so sinabi ko na sabado sila pumunta between 8-11 am, thursday kasi ang supposed installation date ko, at nangyari itong pag-uusap namin ng isang smart rep 1 week and 2 days before. nabigyan ako ng assurance na makakabitan ako ng smart wifi sa date na sinabi ko. ang kaso, biglang nag-text sa akin ang mga magkakabit 1 day before noong napagkasunduan naming araw noong smart rep at sinabing hindi masusunod ang oras na sinabi ko. so sabi ko na nagbitiw ng salita ‘yung smart rep na kausap ko na makakabitan ako sa araw at oras na sinabi ko, considering 2 araw na sobra na iyon doon sa maximum period of installation. the reason kung bakit ko pinili ang araw at oras na iyon ay dahil may pasok ako sa supposed installation date ko at available lang ako ng araw at oras na binigay ko dahil may pasok din ako ng sabado ng hapon. gumawa ngayon ng palusot ‘yung installer na kesyo may nauna raw sa akin sa araw na iyon at hindi nila matitiyak kung masusunod ‘yung sinabing oras sa akin. fine, alam ko kung gaano ka-asshole mag-install ng isang sistema dahil ginagawa ko rin iyon. ang punto, hindi dapat sila nagbitiw ng salita at pinaasa ang customer kung hndi rin lang masusunod. ang nangyari? hindi ako pumasok ng sabado ng hapon dahil dumating sila ng past 11 na. dito pa lang, makikita natin na walang silbi na magbilin ka sa mga hinayupak na “smart†people na iyan, wala silang communication sa mga staff nila.

marami kasing suwapang na subscriber si smart kaya lagi meron problema sa mga link natin…alam naman natin na for residential use lang ang internet nila pero yung iba ginagawang pang business ang wifi nila tapos kapag bumagal magagalit at magrereklamo.sasabihin magnanakaw si smart.kelangan isaalangalang din natin yun.kapag si smart nakagawa ng paraan para malimit(bandwidth manager)ang bandwidth natin,sigurado mas marami ang magrereklamo.alam naman natin lahat na shared ang mga bandwidth natin pero meron alloted para talaga sa atin na 384kbps.yang value na yan not at all times eh makukuha natin.kung meron bandwidth manager hanggang 384 ka lang at hindi na lalampas dun pero sa ngayon kasi pasawa tayo eh.kung sino yung mataas gumamit sa isang cellsite nila yun lang makikinabang(lalo na yung may voip)at yung iba papangit na ang link(intermittent o mabagal o maliit na yung bandwidth na nakukuha).kahit anong upgrade at improvements ni smart sa kanilang network ,mababalewala rin kung ganito ang nangyayari.

pwede kayong pumunta sa bts (cellsite), kung may guard, tanung nyo contact numbers ng mga bosing nila para maayos connection nyo. it’s their job

I’m in Calamba, Laguna. Online kami till lunch time, after lunch, down na, check ako halos every 2 hours kung up na ulit, hanggang gabi, till this morning down pa rin. Release ko IP ko, nakakuha ulit ako, 192.168.232.11 pero gateway na 223.1 di ko ma ping…where do you think is the problem? pati lahat ng DNS IP address di ma ping…sabi ng helpdesk nyo, ok naman base station sa may amin, bat down pa rin ?
Siguro better if you can post a general t-shoot procedure here so that we would know where is the problem before calling your helpdesk. What IPs to ping, what to check in PC etc. Will help a lot. Thanks.

suggestion ko lang din, try mo download mozilla firefox, nakalagay sa smart bro portal. after installing, tsaka ka magbrowse gamit ang firefox (enter username/password),
pag magrerestart ka na ng pc, idisable mo muna Local area connection. Enable mo na lang sya pag nakapagrestart na pc.

try mo pumunta ng wireless center, pag speed kasi, pwede base station, equipment, or pc. Kung may kakilala ka na nakawifi din na mabilis, diskartehan mo muna, dalhin mo pc mo sa kanila. Kung mabilis din, may problem equipment mo or sector na kinukuhanan mo ng signal (kung di kayo parehas ng sector). Kung mabagal naman, pc problem siguro. Isolate mo muna.

malamang nga madami na kayo sa base station, but we’re doin’ expansions para lumaki capacity at mamaintain bandwidth, better if you report to the base station at ipatingin mo sa wifi pointperson nila dun, or sa wireless center, i think wala naman problem sa equipment mo or pc. wala kasi ako kakilala dyan sa paranaque.

plan 988 subscribers (up to 256 kbps) were upgraded to 384 kbps sometime last year. you will notice that there are times when you get more than 300 kbps, unfortunately, those times are rare.
smart wifi subscriber din kasi ako, eto din gamit ko sa bahay, and i’ve felt the same with you guys lalo na nung talagang di stable connection, buti naman medyo nakikisama mga installers/ccis, kaya maganda service dito.

its true, di umaabot ng 384Kbps, pero dapat di bababa sa 256Kbps. At worst ng plan 988 ay 100Kbps, max 400+kbps. dito sa province area ko eh.

well hello all, i just got smartbro recently, but im starting to have the share of issues eternally listed here. i feel i became part of a universal suffering club
well. i moved apartments so i needed a connection. i was ahem impressed how fast smartbro installed it. they’re not as fast about customer care though. and connection is haphazard. sometimes it’s good early AM, but you can’t be awake surfing early AM everyday!!! unless someone bites meeeH!

O-O… tapos pag gabi na choppy nmn net namin.. nung kakakabit palang e hindi naman ganito at ok naman yung connection!!! pero ngayon… nagsimula pa ito last month at siguro every other day ako last week hangang ngayon tumatawag sa hotline at finafollow up yung report pero wala parin silang magawa… peste…. 3 weeks ago, may nagpunta nga ditong mga tauhan ng “amazing?†wireless broadband ng smart, dumating sila ng 6 pm!!! saktong may net na kami… 5 beses kong sinabi sakanila na wala kaming net sa maga kaya ako tumawag at kaya ko sila pinapunta samin pero wala naman silang ginawa… sinabi ko sakanila yun pagdating na pagdating nila na wala kaming net sa umaga(1). sinabi ko nung nakaupo na sila sa tapat ng desktop ko(2) tapos nung pagkatapos nilang sabihin na ok naman daw(3) tapos pagkatapos nilang sabihin ulit na ok naman daw, sinabi ko ulit(4). tapos nung pinapasign na sakin yung papel nila, sinabi ko ulit(5) pero anong ginawa nila? UMALIS!!!! anong klaseng serbisyo un!!! 5 beses ko sinabi wala naman… buti nga di ko sila sinisigawan kapag tumatawag ako…. langhiya talaga… ok naman daw yung net namin??? anong ok… kaya nga ako tumawag kasi d ok… ako ako tangan tatawag kahit ok naman…. di pa silang mukhang proffessionals!!!>……
just want to share my exp w/ smartbro when i applied for this service. sobra lang kasi ako nahighblood. i applied via their website morning of july 4 (wed). that pm, i paid the P999 on the biz center. few hours after paying,a sales agent followed up my payment. sabi ko nagbayad na ko (ano ba namang tingnan nya muna sa system bago sya nagfolowup).nxt day, a diff sales agent folowup my payment again (grr!).nxt a tech guy called, sked ko daw puntahan sa wed (jul 11). sbi ko kala ko ba 2 days lng makakabitan na. wla na rw available sked. so whole day wed i waited, nobody came. super kulit ko na sa hotline na text man lang ako kung may pupunta o wala. nxt day (thurs), i called hotline again, sbi kya dw di nagpunta ung nakaasign ksi umulan at no signal. e di namn kya umulan sa min! at no signal? pno nya nalaman d nga sila nagpunta. ngparesked ako sat 9am (jul 14). friday night, may tumawg sa kin na tga smartbro na di na raw sila makakapunta that night ksi umuulan, kung pde bukas na lang raw (heler?? e sat nga sked ko no!!). then came sat, 11am, wala pa rin, ni text o tawag wala. super inaway ko na talaga hotline (as in!) kaya ayun, 12noon, may dumating. turned out, wala plang signal sa min. inis na inis tlga ko. sbi pa nung tech guys, wla daw tlaga signal sa area namin. sbi ko e bat pa sila tumatanggap ng aplication kung alam na pala nilang wla signal sa lugar namin. alam daw ng ahente un (grrr!). nxt day, i went to get my refund. my temper shot up again when the agent told me na 3 weeks bgo marefund. ‘nak nman tlaga ng pating, pag aply instant bayad, ngayong refund, 3 weeks! sobrang abala na talaga. buwisit talaga yang smartbro. di pa ko nakabitan nyan ha. after reading all these posts here, naku, buti na lang pala at hindi kami nakabitan. kundi ay naku ewan ko na lang!
Does anybody encounter this error ‘Your Basestation was not yet encoded.’ Nangyari ito when I turn off my desktop and switched to my laptop. Di mka connect ung laptop ko, pero nung bumalik ako sa desktop ko ayun me connection pa din. Dati nako ngsswitch between desktop and laptop (di ko sabay gnagamit, ayaw kc gumana ng connection if sabay) ngayon lng bigla lumalabas yung ‘Your Basestation was not yet encoded.’ na error. Bakit kaya?

I have been a smartbro subscriber for 5 months. First 4 were OK. But now I’m on my 18th day of NO INTERNET!
Day 1 through 10: Smartbro tried to blame my computer, claiming bad lan card or other problems.
Day 11: They finally admitted there is a base station problem, and they need to order parts.
Day 13: They said parts still were not ordered, because it has to be “coordinated” through the “proper channels!
Day 14: They sent an installer to “verify” there is a problem with connection (DUH!) That guy didn’t even know basic IP commands and knew even less about the Motorola antenna. I had to help him login to the unit! After he installed a new antenna and cable, he tried to claim my Lan card was bad! Don’t listen to this kind of bullshit when smartbro has problems.
Day 16: “Second level” support called me and promised they were trying to find out what the problem is at the base station (DUH!)
Day 17: The installer showed up with no appointment, and I wasn’t home. He had a photographer with him who began to take pictures of my router and computer setup. My wife told them to stop and leave immediately.
Day 18: Base station is still having “technical problems” and they are “working on it.” They refuse to “commit” to when the problem will be fixed.
Of course, I must commit to paying the monthly bill or they will sue me.
I don’t know when my smartbro will be fixed.
If you ever have any trouble with smartbro service, make sure you call every day and get a “service report number.” Then when you apply for your “rebate” (refund) you will have the proof you need to show the network was BROKEN

Let’s give SMART a fair chance in improving their service. I believe their are certain technical factors as to how this connectivity works. Sad as it may sound, those contractors/installers are not directly employed to SMART, I believe they are paid for every successful connection, that’s why, some of them abused it. Kahit poor na yung connection sa isang lugar, go pa din sila nang install para makakolekta sa SMART. if you think na-aagrabyado kayo, yung company din, suffers such great loss due to these people na ang gusto lang, kumita at hindi pinagbubutihan ang trabaho nila. It may take much of your time, pero much help if you’ll voice this out sa mga tao sa wireless centers para ma-mail nila yung mga supervisors na in-charge sa ganito.

1. The reason smartbroke hires outside contractors to do their home service visits is to SAVE MONEY. PERIOD!
2. These contractors typically don’t kow very much about the job they are sent to perform. They can do installations, because it’s easy. Any kind of other problems, they will get step-by-step instructions from a tech on the telephone, and will also have a printout of instructions to help them.
3. When my connection was broke last time, it took smartbroke 40 DAYS before they sent a real technician to check the problem, and he was sent only to “VERIFY” I had any problem! As if I was lying to them all that time! My connection was broken 10 days before they sent a stupid contractor to check the problem- my 14 year-old kid knows more about computers than he does!
4. Smartbroke has had THOUSANDS of chances to get it right. They WILL NOT do it right EVER because they DO NOT WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY
5. I will repeat for those who missed it: If you have problems with your connection, you MUST call EVERY DAY and get a “service report number.” Write this down, and save it because you will need it to get your rebate (refund) for the days you had trouble.
