May ilang buwan na rin naman akong gumagamit ng smart bro at hanggang ngayon di ko pa naman nararanasan ang mga problemang nababasa ko dito sa forum na ito. ngunit ndi dahil sa ganon eh sinasaluduhan ko na ang Smart, malaki pa rin ang utang nila sa mamamayang handa namang magbayad sa dapat ay de-kalidad na serbisyo.

Nais ko lamang sanang ibahagi sa mga mambabasa ang milagrong naranasan ko kahapon. nagkaproblema ata ang smart kahapon kaya ang bilis ng aking koneksyon ay hindi bumaba sa 2 MBPS umabot pa nga ng 5 MBPS ang koneksyon ko buong tanghali hanggang hapon kahapon. nagdali dali akong nagdownload ng kahit anong pwedeng idownolad para lang hindi mapalagpas ang naturang milagro. wala lang.

Sana araw-araw ganon.

Termination of Subscription

Hey guys,

I talked to my friend na lawyer and she told me about the things concerning a contract. sa ngayon kasi, lumalabas na bound tayo ng contract with SMART kasi nga sinasabi nila na may one-year lock-in period tayo prior to availing their service.

Ganito kasi yung scenario natin. ang lumalabas it’s next to impossible to cut our subscription with them. pwede nilang palabasing breach of contract yun. pero, as subscribers, we have the right to have it terminated since they didn’t comply to their part of the contract. that is providing us with a great connection “up to 7x faster than dial-up” according to their ad. we call that RESCISSION. kaya if you guys would like to cut your subscription, yes, it is possible. at wag kayong magpatakot dun sa mga sinasabi nilang pre-termination fee. seek for legal advice rin para you have a back-up regarding this. as you know masyadong tuso ang SMART managament. if not, we won’t be experiencing all these.

My Problem with SmartBro[ken]

DAMN SMART BRO[ken]..has people answering for Applications and Billing inquiries yet NONE for technical support and/or non-technical support…tsk tsk tsk..damn disappointing..planning to shift to globe…i have internet connection now..but i think its not yet performing good…i can surf and surf…yet my torrents cant download anything…PLUS my online games cant log-in or connect to the server…Flyff/Silkroad/GGgame/RO has slow connections…any1 can help me out here??

To Summarize problem:

Good surfing connections
Good uploading data [youtube]
Good downloading data [smart's "quickfix", DOTA maps, downloadable things]
Bad gaming Connection [Flyff/Silkroad/GGgame/RO]
Torrents cant download [limeware/bearshare etc.]
TOO DAMN FAST IN BILLING ME!!! T_T

The service is smashing!

I’ve been a patron for almost 1 year now and I haven’t experience any downtime at all. I wish all wireless service would be like Smart Bro.

DHCP Enabled

I’ve made the mistake of enabling DHCP from http://169.254.1.1 yesterday (as a result of tinkering) because i can no longer access the Canopy page, and there is no way to disable it anywhere else. I’ve tried changing the TCP/IP Properties, but nothing really helps. After a week of not being able to connect to the internet due to Milenyo, I was finally back online earlier today, which was a surprise for i really don’t know what it is i did that made it possible! Perhaps, the towers were fixed? I have no clue. The DHCP is still enabled, i understand that it automatically assigns other users of the network their own IP address i find it unneccessary because i’m the only one who uses the service, but i really cannot understand how it worked out.

Anyway, as of now, things are going very well but I would like to know…should i be worried that the DHCP is enabled? Plus, i also want to figure out how to access the Canopy Page.. is there a manual reset function for the antenna?

Oh, the technician who came over to install the service originally set the DHCP as disabled.

New Application

I applied in Smart Bro service today, aba 2 minutes lang meron ng payment reference number and asking me to pay na ung P999.00 initial cash out. Ayos noh, ambiles ng approval pero ang speed hinde. I applied just for redundancy, pag down ang globelines broadband at least meron kahit na 80kbps hehehe, mabilis pa ung SMART 3G eh, i use that before through my Nokia N70 and un walang problema, I get around 400 - 500 kbps.

Un lang wla lang, share ko lang :)

Regarding the your problem with the trojan virus, try downloading the Kaspersky Anti-virus its free from the Net. Browse mo lang sa Google then U can download it for free. Well ive got also disconnected last Sunday nite @ around 10:30pm… i have tried to call the *1888 CSR of Smart ive got no answer even if their phone ring for around 10 minutes. Sumakit na tenga ko. Then the following nite around 8pm.. I called again to smart CSR *1888 , im already prepared with a headset connected to my celfon… the ringing last for around 30minutes….di na ako nangalay thanks to the celfone headset, then saka lang may sumagot sa line.
The operator ask me to Ping 10.0.0.1 and Ping xxx.xxx.xx etc.
both pings show no loss but when browsing i could nor connect to the internet. I even told the operator the i have used the Quick Fix softwaere from their site (parang di nya alam kun ano yun). Pina IPconfig, IP/release, IPconfig/reset.
At pina restart twice pc ko. So far nothing changes, di pa rin
ako maka connect sa internet but i am able to connect sa smart bro portal. Pina-disable at enable pa yung LAN card ko (i am using a D-link LAN card). Wala pa din nagyari. Then thev operator ask me to wait for 24 hours, & if still i could not connect then i should call CSR *1888 Again! . Then Yesterday nite October 17, 2006 around 7pm- i was suddenly able to connect to the internet. I did not do anything it just happens, pero as usual super bagal pa rin connection, mas mabilis pa ang dial-up. Sad to say wala pang telephone line available sa lugar ko, kaya eto nagtya-tiaga na lang muna sa palpak na service ng Smart Bro. I think may 3 cellsite yata sa Tanza na may AP, try ko i-relocate SM antenna baka sakaling may himala at bumilis ang speed.

Also my fellow Smart Bro users…. Mrunong ba kayong gumamit ng Google Earth?…. kindly post po kung alam nyo ang mga SMART Cellsites the Philippines then post it to this blog site & also put a Place mark on the Smart Cellsite… I think makakatulong po ito para maitapat directly ang Canopy antenna sa pinaka malapit na Cellsite.

By the way sa google earth po ay maaring makita the arial view, kuha po ng satellite ang mga place. Its like a map pero pictures ng earth.
