SmartBro Problem

Hey Guys,

SMART should work on more PoP servers maybe for each province. Too bad isal lang ata ang PoP nila for the internet service. Wireless isn’t the big problem here, maybe for not properly aligned subscriber units. i’ve been into wireless design, and wireless works better than wired medium especially and during harst environment.

Sana nga licensed frequency na lang din ang ginamit nila, just to avoid interference 100%. Too bad nagtipid sila. Isa pa itong NTC natin.. they should have not allowed to use an ISM band with this kind of service. Kawawa naman ung mga ibang private company’s using this technology for their private network infrastructure. i belive dami na ang apektado sa interference na naidudulot nito.

Rebates!

Let us all join forces and apply for rebates/refunds by calling *1888 and press 1 everytime we call to tech support and they say there’s a technical problem/activity. The more the merrier. At least we can financially make our point as a collective body and our numbers would make a dent in the company’s income. That’s one way to get back at Smart Broken.

However, you should make the call center agents admit that the problem is on their side otherwise no rebate will be granted. The technique here is to show them that it is really their problem and not caused by anything on our machine / POE.

SmartWifi can cause HighBlood

Guess what… Simula ng nagpakabit ako buwan buwan may problema ako. Sloww

connection.. paputol putol na connection… no connection… bayad naman ako

ng bayad… wala lang talagang ibang option ng connection dito sa amin e. kung

meron lang ginawa ko ng flag pole na may malaking flag ng smartBROKEN logo sa

Highblood e.

Ilang araw na akong tawag ng tawag.. umaga at gabi.. Sorry sir, this base

station is under monitoring… sorry sir, i’m going to forward this to blah

blah blah.. sorry sir pkimonitor lng connection nyo until this afternoon..

pakimonitor within 24 hours… may maintenance activity sa base station… e

anong petsa na??? sorry sir for the inconvenience… sorry.. sorry sorry..

well… to be fair… maganda naman ang connection pag meron… minsan 256 -

384 talaga ung speed minsan nga 400kbps pa nga e… pag timing pa naman na may

trabaho ka… apektado trabaho mo! yung website na ginawa ko para sa client ko

di ko na ma upload upload… pang 4 days na ko walang connection… ginawa ko

nag dial-up na lang ako… solve!

Wala ng ibang option dito e. Wala na na available ang Digitel at PLDT.. eto na

lang talaga ang connection ko. Ok na lang kesa wala.. para akong nagasawa ng

problema…. may masaya at masamang pagsasama… pag nagkaroon lng ang Digitel

at PLDT dito.. i didivorce ka na itong SmartBULOK…

payo ko lang sa mga nagpaplano magpakonek.. mag dial-up na lang kayo. kung may other DSL company like PLDT, Bayantel, etc. etc. ung na lang! kung

magpakonek man kayo problema nyo na yan.. swerte swertehan din naman. meron

din naman walang problema. ewan ko lang kung totoo nga.

ewan ko paano tayo mapapansin ng Smart.. ung mga advertising expenses nila na

milyon milyon gastusin na lang nila to improve the service.. mga satisfied

customers pa mag endorse sa kanila… kasi mas masamang advertisement sa

kanila ang unsatisfied customers… katulad ko.. halos lahat ng effor gusto ko

gawin para magising sila!

Help Guys!!! 3 times slower than dial-up!!!

Guys i’m from Santiago City, I keep complaining and they don”t do anything about it, In santiago we are now having a connection speed of like 3 times slower than the dial up! and guess wat, I never sleep just to see my peak speed and you know it was like 56KBps… Help guys, lugi kami dito sa santiago city! having this connection is like connecting on a telephone line.

My Smart wifi connection is weak

Hi hello..How are you Smart’s Engineers?..I would like to inform you that my Smart Wifi connection is very weak..I mean it takes for me 30 minutes to 1 hour before I could connect to the network. It seems that my signal level at my site is very weak or maybe the one who install have mistakenly analyze my MAC address…I mean he had mistook my the MAC address to IP conversion of my unit…It seems like that…as what I had understand with your set-up…Is it?

Can you possibly help me out this long confusion of mine..Are you bold enough to face the problem that I have….I hope you guys could slake of my needs as your customer..Hope you do so…Hello again Smart Engineers..Wake up!!!!!!!!!!!!Here the little voice at the wilderness of your subscribers….I already ask help from your Customer Care…All are innocent of my problem..What the….are they?Are they really technically knowlegeable situation network problem?….I always hear default answer…goto the control panel and find network icon..so..so…press the repair button..so..so..And to make myl location known, I am from Lapu-lapu City, Cebu..I already inform Smarts Cebu Engineers but seems no response from them..The worse case of them

I tried to contact Meridean Personnel but I can able to contact them..Where are they?

Smart Bro wants to outsmart me!

I applied for the MyDSL Xperience package a month ago. Since then, I have been following up every week to check my application. Every call, crappy customer service will give me a vague explanation about my application like telling me its under process (for one month).

Then I received a call from Smart Bro today. Updating my status regarding my MyDSL application.

What a surprise! Smart Bro rep knows about the status of my application compared to the 171 representatives whom I was talking to every week. They said that there is still no port available for my DSL service. Its better if I just apply for Smart Bro, which is basically the same in price.

I calmly said that I am not interested. But deep in my mind, I was shouting, “Are you crazy?! Do you think that I am stupid?! Have you read about the comments about Smart Bro?!

Help naman guys regarding sa grounding ng unit.. Kasi lately ang lakas ng ulan at may kasama pang lightning ang panahon e di ba there is a chance na tamaan ng kidlat ung canopy antenna ko lalo na kung nagiinternet ako during those times.. I know may kasamang lightning suppressor ung unit nila pero di kinabit ng contractors eh..

So heres the story:

Dumating ung mga contractors dito ofcourse para ikabit ung antenna. Ang ginamit lang nila ung black na wire at ung adaptor. Ung black na wire ung one end nya nakakabit sa antena then the other end dun sa may adaptor na going to my lan.. So ok na raw.. Bago sila umalis iniwan nila sakin ung white na wire at ung box na supposed to be para sa lightning suppressor, tinanong ko kung bakit di nila kinabit ung “box” ang sabi lang nila “ah sir, para lang yan sa extension kung sakaling gusto nyong ilipat ung pc nyo kabit nyo lang ung black sa isang jack then ung white sa kabila then adaptor then sa pc nyo..” Un sabi nila then umalis na sila dala nila ung mga di nagamit na wires, grounding pole, nails, etc.. (may vulca seal pa nga yata akong nakita dun).. So hinayaan ko na lang muna.. After mga ilang buwan napansin ko nga ang lakas ng ulan with matching lightning pa nga.. Naisip ko na posible ngang tamaan ng kidlat antenna ko tapos la pa grounding unit ko sure na sabog pc ko IF EVER na tamaan nga.. Comming to realize it, ako na lang ung nagkabit ng sarili kong grounding.

Here is where my problem started…
I searched the web regarding sa grounding nga ng canopy. I came up with this: www.saiawireless.com/doc/300%20SS%20Unit%20Manual.pdf I followed the diagram naman. But as substitute for the parts the contractors took i away i used a 12inch long steel bar (ung ginagamit sa mga wall at poste sa construction) for the grounding pole and an ordinary wire (from an old extension wire which i splitted in two coz i only need 1 wire) for the grounding wire. Binaon ko sa lupa ung bakal then kinabit ko ung wire and the other end sa GND ng box. Heres where my problem arises, pag-on ko ng pc nakalagay “LAN is unplugged” then pagtinanggal ko ung ground wire sa box connected na uli. Then pagkinabit ko ung grounding wire sa box (nakuryente pa nga ako pero mahina lang) “LAN is unplugged” na naman..

Hmm.. I need help naman here.. Is it because of the wire na ginamit ko? (para alam ko kung bibili ba ako ng bagong wire) or is it because of the “pole” which i made?

*Naisip ko, pede kong i-sue ung contractors nila IF EVER taman ng kidlat ang antenna ko pero naisip ko, hihintayin ko pa bang tamaan ng kidlat e meron naman akong pwedeng gawin to avoid it kesa manisi ng ibang tao, iwas disgrasya pa.*

Telecom Carrier running on SoHo network equipments

I tried to probe what’s the problem of Smart Wifi, and I found the problem is not on “wireless”, instead it’s routers/switches. Smart Wifi inherited from Meridian Telekoms the backbone system — they are all non telecom-class equipments.

I wonder do they have any timetable to upgrade it?

I’d like to see some engineer from Smart Wifi to comment this.
