Bl@st is better than Smart Wifi

Jun 14, 2006 Author: meili | Filed under: Customer Complaint

My gosh. I hope they could fix this problem.

My recieved bytes is ALWAYS higher than bytes sent. WTF?! matagal na ‘tong ganito eh. And it really sucks.

Tumataas dugo ko everytime nakikita ko na hindi umiilaw ung connection, I mean walang narerecieive na bytes and nasesent. And it can’t even download a 3.2MB file. Anung klase un?!

Everytime I download a file, the connection isn’t stable. It just gives a 24kb then it stops for a while, you have to wait for YEARS to recieve another byte. DUH! WIFI NGA EH DAPAT MABILIS!!

Mas mabilis pa bl@st dito eh. and to think na DIAL-UP YUN!

Mayaman naman ang Smart why can’t day build other stations sa metro manila!

Kung walang SmartBro maraming kawawa…

Jun 11, 2006 Author: firmwaist | Filed under: Customer Complaint

Been using SmartWiFi since September last year (2005). Have been visited by tech support only once (to reconfigure the antenna. Been very happy with the connection (back then). Ngayon, average “happy” na lang. Medyo bumagal kasi connection simula nung dumami mga users. Yun lang naman ang complain ko… Commin’ from a dial-up connection, this is already heaven… lols.

All I can say is… kung walang SmartBro, maraming walang “affordable”, “always-on”, “broadband”, connection. Meron mga open-close quotations (” “), kasi relative ang pagkakagamit nung mga terms na yun as of now. Totoo naman diba? SmartBro/WiFi ang may widest coverage, relatively cheapest service fee, and fastest/hassle-free installation, and wala pang ibang service provider na makapagbigay ng ganun. Also, because of SmartBro/WiFi, maraming nagsusulputan ngayong cheaper alternatives.

SmartWiFi/Bro may not be the best broadband option, but it surely started the Philippines’ Broadband Revolution.

My P2P experience with Smart Bro

Jun 10, 2006 Author: juzanothergurl | Filed under: Customer Complaint

I’ve read some of the posts here. I consider myself lucky for i haven’t really experienced any major problems with my smart bro connection. I often lose my internet connection but it doesn’t take more than 2 minutes and it’ll be up again. For me, it’s not that bad. And i’ve already tested my connection speed. We’ve got 2 computers at home and we both get around 240-340kbps. I’ve got no complaints with the speed.

Our 2 computers are behind a router, netgear. and recently, i’ve been downloading torrents using peer-to-peer (p2p) connections. I noticed that my downloading speed only averages at around 4-10kb. So i tried port forwarding, even port triggering to check if they’ll fix the problem. But to my disappointment, it didn’t work. I tried setting up a static ip on our computers, we didn’t get any connection. In short, i’ve already tried everything i could think of that i thought would solve this problem but nothing seemed to work.

So i concluded that the problem might be with my ISP, Smart Bro, and not our router or computers.

I already called their tech support but they said that they can’t help me any further. I guess they can’t understand what i was saying or they just don’t know anything about it. I was asking if they have any DNS servers that i should know about or other settings that i need to fix on my system to work on a p2p network but they don’t know what i’m talking about. *sheesh*

I hope somebody here could help me because people from Smart Bro’s tech support suck. I remember before the technician set up my connection, I asked him if I could connect my 2 computers using a router and let them share my internet connection. He said that it would only work through internet connection sharing (ICS), and not on a router. And when I asked him how I could do that or if he could give me some hints (I actually know how to set it up. I just want to know if he really knows what he was talking about) and he said that you just have to enable it in windows then that’s it. hehehe. I didn’t bother to ask him any further. Well, why was I able to set up our 2 computers and our internet connection behind a router then? tsk tsk.

But when night strikes my problem with disconnection arises… please answer me if you get the same problem and what are the solutions you might recommend… THANKS TO YOU ALL!!!

Main Solution for Smart BROadband

Jun 9, 2006 Author: vinson | Filed under: Technical Advice

The main solution for Smart BRO is to increase their bandwidth and the expansion of the wireless broadband network’s core transmission backbone capacity, in the recent news they increase their transmission backbone capacity by 10gb/s and their regional backbone by 1gb/s, but the bandwidth is left behind, and the way we see it, it is not balance, how can we use their transmission backbone capacity if we cannot get the right bandwidth to use it…

Smartwifi the worst ISP

Jun 9, 2006 Author: malo | Filed under: Customer Complaint

First of all im very very dissapointed with my subscription since day 1. Its my 5th month. I already called and asked the customer service hotline to have my connection terminated or canceld because i dont get the service i pay for. I also asked for rebates and an update on my account. Wala pa din until now. I think they dont have a proper system to support all subscriber bandwidth or very poor support in their infra.

The last 2 weeks was my worst connection ever with this smart wifi thing. Wala ako magawa kasi bawal daw mag pag DC ng subscription. Their guys also came to a point na nag charge sa akin ng super mahal na extension of my antenna, when i requested if they can extend my antenna to solve my problem. Then they said sure na yan sir. Magkaroon na kayo palagi ng internet sir. I called the smartwifi customer service. They said they dont know the exact fee that should be charged kasi contractor daw nila. This is the worst. I assume that they said people from their company not from other company. Im not a subscriber of other internet connection. The people they also call engineers. Grabe. Boplaks. Parang mas marunong pa yung highschool students on determining the problem. The installation fee that i payed during the setup phase hindi nila credited sa account ko. I have the resibo pa nga. Pero they said i have to pay again kasi wala pa daw akong payment.

Asus ko po. What kind of company is this. Dapat kasuhan ang smartwifi or what ever company ito. They are fooling the subscribers or future subscribers. Maybe instead of paying advertisements. They should pay attention to the subscribers and their service. I hate to say this pero sayang ang tingin ko sa smart. Maybe talagang poor service ang nature nila even with their mobile services.

OOOOOOOOOYYY ayusin nyo ang service nyo. kakasawa tumawag sa customer service nyo.
